While I agree with the statement Floyd may never get the crediy he deserves while he's still fighting after he's gone a lot of ppl will remember him for his greatness although I won't comment on the pacquiao fight at this time til more details are out the idea that he's ducking all these guys is kind of ridiculous first off its kind of interesting that the rumors of him ducking guys didn't start til he left top rank or the fact that the same guy that said he was dodging cotto is that same person that said he would never put cotto in the ring with Floyd because he would be destroyed or that he gets flack for saying he on vacation after just fighting but when mosley did the same thing when challenged in 05 nobody said a thing I think the main reason ppl don't like him is because hes gone unchallenged an made all his so called toughest challenges look easy I mean hating someone for talkin trash about someone there going to fight is stupid there not tryin to be friends there trying to hurt each other going into a battle talking about oh this guys so good he might beat me is boring controversy is what sells fights I agree that its fighters I would have like him to face but don't place the blame soley on him non of the guys he said to be ducking minus maybe Williams an margerito have ever even mentioned his name when asked about a fight if you really follow boxing you'd know he was talkin about retiring as early as the baldomir fight or the fact that everyone he's fought since moving up to 135 was n the top 5-10 of the class I by no means justify all the things he's done but he's his own man an their his decisions not mine but looking at his accomplishment respect must be given an as far as pacquiao is concerned I'm not going to try an tranish his name becasue he has had a great career himself but saying his resmue is so far ahead is kind of funny to I hold mays wins over de la hoya n higher regard than pacs because when may was billed as the smaller guy he actually was I mean pac weighed more on fight night vs de la hoya then may who claims he was really around 47 on fight night while its said that hoya was around 160 baldomir also had almost a 15 lb advantage an as far as hatton look berto who is a champ at ww struggled with callazo mosley who before his lost was the undisputed ww champ also struggled early on with callazo to which makes me think it wasent the weight he was just challenged by a good fighter some ppl opinion will never change but atleast acknowledge the man tor what he is one of the best that is all an sorry if its to long
    ...peace

That still wouldn't satisfy most people. They'd be screaming for Williams or Martinez as soon as the fight is over. Of course, I don't get too worried about what other fans think.

I mean....it's really that ****in simple. The whole race card being pulled is some real simple ****. Floyd is black, yea.....but so is James Toney, Mike Tyson, Ray Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Shane, Roy ect..ect..ect..

Yet none of those guys get the kind of hate Floyd gets b/c Floyd comes off as not genuwine. I mean Toney was an ass! And yea....he may be a genuwine ass but he got respect from boxing and the world even though not every demigraphic could relate.

Floyd gets his wrap b/c he brings it on himself. He's a *****, jerk, ass hole and has the whole "MONEY" persona that may get him hate, but it also brings him people who are "drawn" to his fight just to see him lose.

take the good witht he bad...don't pull the race card for something Floyd created for himself. Its not a good look.

"RESPECT" is the foundation we shoud use here. Floyd lacks respect that others embrace. It's a foundation for all walks of life. When those who decide to show "DISRESPECT" of course other peoples perecption begins to change.

White folk who are disrespectful or overly cocky like Paulie M....he gets a lot of similar hate and critisim Floyd gets. But he's not Black yet deals with common issues.

I don't think the "white establishment" in boxing want black fighters to act more "white"..... Part of what makes for a successful promotion is highlighting the personalities of the fighters...their background, their story and accomplishments.

If everyone acted "white".....boxing wouldn't be successful. They actually push for more "personality"....not that his has to be DISRESPECTFUL...just more colorful. Look at James Toney and Mike Tyson. They had simialr confidence and "colorful" personalities but they get FAAAAAAR more love than their fellow Black American boxer in Floyd. Floyd just rubs folks the wrong way b/c he's such an ass hole that doesn't get much love.

I know racism is not dead in the US or globally but in this particular situation its not really valid when speaking about Floyd.
