Calzaghe, he gave him a brutal 12 round beating...did Lacey even land a significant punch, even if he did...a good 8-10 combination would come flying back at him.
You asked who gave Lacey the worst beating? You didn't ask whose looked better in a highlight reel...:huh
ok.... i figured that out now. so now who do yu think looked better beating him up?:ko i jus thought jones looked better... and maybe your right on some level.. but ppl on this forum take things too deep sometime...atsch
...Goddamn man, I forgot how badly Joe brutalized Lacy. Just bombarding him with combination's for 12 rounds....complete joke of a fight. Unbelievably one-sided.
Both put on a show (Calzaghe and Jones), Calzaghe's was more significant because it got him more attention over in America. I'd say Calzaghe's beating looked better because Calzaghe was the underdog, even here in Britain. Like people have said, he made Lacey look amateurish...Calzaghe v Lacey opened the eyes of the British public (The majority did not like Calzaghe before this bout). Jones has better performances...the Jones v Lacey bout was two boxers trying to be relevant again. Jones put on a show because he could...one last "big" performance. If it was a highlight reel, Jones and his 6-7 uppercuts and hooks provides great entertainment. But, the whole 12 rounds of Calzaghe Lacey, and the whole 3 minutes of those rounds deserve a 30 odd minute highlight reel in my opinion. Calzaghe put on a great show for those watching, and showed a huge gulf in class...ending Lacey's career there and then.
So basically you want us to watch carefully selected highlights and say RJJ was the biggest domination? Why didn't you just say that in the OP?
This always makes me laugh http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-article/3430/lacy-calzaghe-fight-predictions/ Especially - ''Calzaghe will fight with the heart of a true champion, but it will not be enough to stop Lacy, who hits as hard as Tyson and is as fast as "Pretty Boy" Floyd. Lacy by KO in six'' Not that the americans over-hype their fighters or anything
I particularly like the comments left at the bottom after the bout. You know what also made me laugh...how the so-called British boxing experts and commentators were writing Calzaghe off for years, how he was slowing down, etc...and Lacey was the going to be the first man to beat him. Then after the bout, they all jumped on Calzaghe...how it was a great performance, and when he retired they started saying how Calzaghe was Britains best ever, etc. Bunch of glory hunting ********.
Yep i think a lot of Americans dont actually realise that he is welsh and everytime he had a fight in england it was against a hostile crowd in enemy territory, before the lacy fight anyway.
round 9 is the one where Joe piles on the punches Lacy is trapped in the corner and u can see how him hurt by a left hook from joe and he just wobbles out of the corner and doesnt throw anything it should have been stopped there. One of the biggest 12 round beat downs ive ever seen. And joe landed a lot of hard right hooks and short left uppercuts they weren't just taps
