I believe your relatives :good Don't know if you have access to Russian news channel but when a Klitschko bro wins they report it as headline news on their sports segment. They won't do that with most other boxers outside of the Ex- Soviet Union boundaries.

I'll bet the house that the majority of Russia will be pulling for Wlad over Peter :hat

It's very easy: they celebrate Klitschko wins as Russian (deriving through the logic "he is from our, soviet school of boxing"), unless there is a Ukrainian in the chat or forum, and in that case Klitschko is a bum, because he is a khokhol.
And when it comes to Klitschko vs Russian - the former suddenly is khokhol who is a bum and this Russian will bit crap out of him.
There are exceptions: some people who actually care about boxing and can accept a rational style of boxing, plus some people who still have connections with Ukraine can be consistent fan of Klitschko.
Of course, general public is never about boxing as a sport, and even withing people who care about boxing not everybody accepts the way Klitschkos win.

It's pretty much a 50/50 split between Klitschkos fans and haters in Russia. Official propaganda tends to downplay them and elevate Povetkin and Valuev. And there's plenty of brainwashed, totalitarian-oriented people to buy whatever bull**** (not restricted to sports) Kremlin sells them. Remember, independent mass media is pretty much non-existent in Russia thus the public opinion can be swayed in the "right" direction with ease the Western governments can only dream of...

Wow. This is interesting and exciting news! I hope ESPN finds that there's still an audience out there wanting to see the K bros fight and maybe take the reigns for/from HBO's ***** asses. **** em. Gotta say, much more excited to see a Wlad/Peter rematch than seeing Povetkin in there scared as ****... Maybe in another year he'll be ready to step on up.

Alright peter is going to kick wlads ass this time. If I were Peter I would request Nady as the ref so Wlad can't cheat and hold the whole fight. Peter has already floored wlad 3 times so he knows he can hurt wlad. I think is was the 9th round of that fight peter had wlad ready to go and the damn bell rang. Wlad was on the ropes with a same blank look on his face the he had when Brewster koed him. Peter has a real chance in this fight. About time wlad faced someone with the power to ko him.

peter has no chance hes dead on the outside and on the inside wlad will lean all over his back, usual stuff here

seems the contenders are freezing out wlad , funny as it seems.

If wald cant defend his titles against the top contenders hes getting devalued although it aint really fair, throw in HBO ditching his ass as well,

Never thought that could happen to a HW champ let alone a dominant white hw champ the irony !!!

Yeah Damn good post except for the line "Peter isn't scared of ****"

Then why did Peter quit on his stool without injury forcing him to do so while defending his HW title against Vitali? Because he was getting beat? Isn't that gut check time for a Champion? He quit cause he was scared as **** what other reason? :huh

I'm excited that it's on ESPN! I hope it's on regular ESPN and not on Classic, but either way it's a huge deal. Tell Wlad to bring it and stop Peter convincingly before the late rounds.
I really hope Peter shows up for more then just a pay-check this time around.
