But you didn't analyze the fighter. You analyzed the fighters style.

If you analyzed the fighter then you would have realised that Kessler is a warrior who has fought in his opponents back yard before and has fought boxers on a much higher level than Miranda.

Kessler has no reason to fear Miranda. What really ****s Kessler up is getting in close and roughing him up as Kessler has no inside game or using quick foot work and throwing combinations from different angles as Kessler can be a bit static and flat footed and by doing this it also stops Kessler from setting up his own shots.

Miranda can not do this as he doesn't have a great inside game himself and has **** poor foot work and little to no technique what so ever. Miranda is essentially a hard hitting pug. As for his jab; yes he has a long reach but he doesn't use it properly. You are going on as though Miranda has a jab like Larry Holmes. Kessler would school him and has no reason to fear him.

And please don't present to us your evidence again. I am fed up with people on this site thinking that Dan Rafael or some other boxing journalist putting up an article on their website containing quotes from someone is evidence. It is not evidence. It is someone's opinion.

 

Glass Jaw Miranda would have been destroyed by Kessler, any time, any place.

 

Kessler had stated numerous times that the most important thing for him was to get his titles back. Hence he took the Sartison fight so he could regain one of his titles (although I think it was the 'regular' title, so not the real one). Why he is so hung up on titles I don't know though.

Anyway, it's a pretty simple explanation

 

Kessler was upgraded to "Super" champ after Calzaghe vacated.

 

Which is a bit silly really. He should have fought somebody for the real title. This regular super champ thing is really getting out of hand.

You gotta look at his post in the context of this stupid thread. I don't think that anyone would dispute that it is a whole lot tougher to fight Bute than Stieglitz. He's just pointing out that Miranda's management is not too credible and maybe Miranda was just ducking Kessler or piggybacking him to get his own name in the media.

 

from memory, the thinking in denmark at the time was that palle wanted nothing to do with miranda.
don't forget that miranda and kessler were names in their division but not the legitimate champions.

I think it would be futile to guess at who ducked who. Palle did however manage to get Miranda bumped up in the WBA rankings. Why would he do this unless he was serious in getting the fight?

 

I want to fight Kessler. If he doesn't fight me he's clearly ducking me.
