And 99.9% of posts made in that forum are irrelevant, mainly due to people having agendas, are biased, or are just plain ******ed. Don't compare that forum, or even other forums as to what Haye's standing is in the boxing world. As for the thread question, I score it a draw. I can see both points of view.
You could pretty much go through every weight division and complain bitterly about the best match ups not happening. Sadly, that is boxing. I personally think the haggling over the money issue with Haye-Klits is just a red herring on Haye's part. Haye probably wants to have a couple of easy money fights before he fights the Klits. Haye is no worse that most of the other 'champions' in the weight classes. And I will not be falling over myself to give plaudits to the Klits bros either as they havent had a competitive fight in years. Hence, HBO have finally cut them off as they are boring to watch. A crucial point is that Haye is a blown up cruiserweight - he is not a natural heavyweight and if/when he fights the Klits he will be giving away serious physical advantages. I will not get on Haye's case because, here is the thing, the other champions in the other weight divisions do not have the same impediments as Haye in the heavyweight division - i.e significant deficit in physical attributes (weight, height and reach). i dont like the fact that Harrison is getting a shot, I would much prefer him to fight Adamski. And, I guess I kinda side with Bunce's argument - because, afterall, boxing is a business. And as I say, Haye gets a buy from me as he is succumbing to significant physical disadvantages when facing the Klits. I think Haye will eventually fight a Klits bro and get beat.
good thing these cats are radio **** talkers promoting thier favorites and not real journalists or sport commentators... the way they try to sell people on some bull**** they might as well be politicians.
I'd start by saying that, realistically, comparing Hayes options to a soldiers in Iraq is fundamentally flawed and that the fact that a boxer has x amount of money shouldn't mean that he still doesn't want to earn as much as possible before he retires. Its late, I'm sure I can come up with more tomorrow...:O)
Bunce is a total windbag. He talks so much rubbish its unbelieveable. He tells so many lies he lost track of whats the truth years ago. Haye shouldn't sell himself short? Buncey would sell his soul for a vodka. When the red mist decends he is funny all the same but ultimately he's totally unprofessional and he really does talk out of his arse. He prentends to be a straight talker but he has his tongue up so many arseholes his taste buds went on strike.
Bunce has again showed he has no class and when he is full of **** he relies on insults and outright bul**** to deflect from how shallow his argument's usually are, :deal
My post isn't about Rob vs. Bunce, I havn't voted in the poll and I don't give a monkies. I'm talking about the Haye situation. Are you saying that David Haye and soldiers have the same options in life and on how much they can earn from what they do? Its just an emotional comparison and not even close to being relevant. Haye bullshitted to try and get a HW title shot, now he's got the title he wants to earn some money off the title before he takes a fight against Wlad. Haye isn't the boxing Superhero he tried to portray himself as. Life goes on....
I don't remember Bunce talking about soldiers, but forget Bunce and Rob. I've never posted about that side of it. Should Haye fight Wlad for (say) 50/50 because a soldier in Iraq only earns a couple of hundred a week? Or because you think he's earned enough money during his career already? Thats just not how the world works. He'll be out to get what he can while he can.
