Thailand..Any of the ozzieboys been??

Ive been to Thailand a few times, the place is ****ing great. Awesome food, plenty of bars, just be aware of thieving tuk tuk drivers that all of a sudden wanna take you somewhere else. What parts of tland are you going to?

 

Make sure you dont come back like girl.

And you will be bashed to with in an inch of your life by 10-15 Thai ladyboys and motorcycle drivers. Best bet is walk away.

 

+1 dont **** with the ladyboys they hang in groups, i seen one in the main street of phuket headkick some sort of big middle eastern / malaysian and he dropped like a sack of potatoes.

A mate of mine lamped one out in the suburbs one morning. He's a big dude with some time behind him. Next thing he is running down the street with four or five motorbikes after him one comes past and he feels the swoosh of a metal pole just missing his head at velocity. He jumps over the fence of house, jumps the next one it's overgorwn and he can hear the distinct growl of dogs, jumps the next one again, climbs up onto the eaves of the first floor of the house and stays there crouched down till dawn. He could hear those ****ers shouting and driving up and down the streets for hours.

 

Also, don't make eye contact.

 

go north to chiang mai and do a 4 day min trek up the mountains, ride the elephants, stay in local villages, then raft home - ****en brilliant stuff, cheap as too.

 

Well I went with the accommodation option that didn't hack into my beer money, so you probably don't want details of those places.

However, there are some sweet places to see. Chiang Mai up north was my favorite (jungles and stuff up there where you can stay with tribes in a home stay type situation) plus awesome markets in the city and just an all round chilled place. Ko Phangan was cool too.. Takes a while to get there but pretty good for couples or people wanting to get away from the busy ****, nice beaches and stuff there.
