Well Ippy did say he was KOd in sparring and cannot take a punch and has some medical condition plus the fact it is Paul Briggs. That is good enough for me to say something wasnt right which is why the NSW boxing authority canned the fight in their state. Anyhoo its a bit of excitement for me on ESB I tried convincing ppl at work today he was one brutal man in the ring and all that was returned to me was whatever
I agree with Ippy and Teke, that was no intentional dive. I haven't watched the replays in slo-mo yet, but I did see the fight on the night. It certainly looked like a dive on the night, however I couldn't get my head around Briggs doing that. So I had my doubts. I was one of the people who thought (hoped) Briggs could have and should have been 100% (even 95% would have been ok) for this fight. Perhaps I was in denial, as I had even heard rumours that he wasn't up to it, but I wanted him to be fit, so he could give Green a hiding. Anyway, it looks like I and a few others were very wrong, and those (the majority) who said the fight shouldn't have happened, were right. I feel sorry for Briggs for having put himself in that position, however it's a pretty big carrot and perhaps he felt at some point that he could actually do it. Who knows. As for Green, he's becoming an even bigger cockhead, and it's only a pity he won't fight someone live enough to smoke him. This content is protected Do I blame him for this fight? On the night Green intimated Briggs was a dog, because he obviously felt very little, if any recoil from the punch that appeared to barely graze Briggs' head. Nobody, least of all Green himself, thought that blow was enough to turn a former world rated hardman like Briggs to jelly. The bigger picture though is that Briggs, clearly overweight, unfit and more importantly underprepared, was allowed to enter the ring with Green. Those invoved in Briggs' preparation, who clearly knew he was a shadow of his former self and highly likely to get seriously hurt, yet continued to train and encourage him, should be ****en shot!

i more than anybody want to believe what some of you are saying and what they are trying to sell us now, but i have watched the replay countless times and i know what i saw (or did not see..a ko punch). dont know how some of you can be sold to believe otherwise
He may have legitimately been hurt by being grazed, but isn't getting into the ring like that and conning the public into paying for the fight the same thing as taking a dive. I mean if many knew he was fuked in sparring, unless he's ******ed, he knows that he would have no chance to make it beyond a round or two.
Have watched it countless times too, and if you couple the video evidence with Green's surprise and subsequent outrage, it all stinks. From the way Green reacted he obviously felt no recoil on the punch in question - therefore thinking it was harmless.
ya I also have watched it slowed down over and over. I watched it soon after the fight and again after Danny waved that compact disk around at his press conference. I cant, for the life of me, work out what you are all talking about! Has Danny pulled a Jedi mind trick here? Has he told you what exists in the slowed footage and you have all gone "ahhh yes, the sky is not blue and 1 + 1 does not equal 2"? i noticed that, he didnt look right, his eyes also told the story when he went down, you can fake a dive, but not those eyes.
And still the excuses come, it seems there is a concerted effort on damage control here,that Doctor needs to STFU with all that "Knock yourselves out and see bollocks" , all he is doing is justifying his own mistake in passing Paul fit to fight in the first place and imo IF he does pass Paul fit to fight on in the future then he should be struck off and hung from the nearest ****ing lamp post for crimes against humanity and the sport of boxing .
