Yeah I guess Cotto is shop worn enough, and has been in enough wars for Floyd to take him on now.

Plus he has that win over Foreman for the win to seem credible to some people.

Having said that, he may just have looked a bit too dangerous for Floyd's liking vs Foreman.

Maybe he should wait for Pac to mangle him again before stepping up?

I'll agree he ducked Pac if he fights Cotto this year. However if it happens next year in say Springtime, I'm not gonna knock him for it because it means he took full advantage of his vacation like he said he would. And what's with the pouting? Just about every fighter in the sport has ducked someone at one point or another. Pac has ducked a small needle yet his fans stick to their guns regardless of how hot it gets. And I actually respect that. Gotta show some thick skin.

 

If pac signs up to fight cheato then lets look at pbf's options if he decides to fight this year.

imo he has 4 credible options

martinez, berto, williams, cotto.

a fight with any of them would be as good as pac v margo.

i dont wanna see bradley take on pac or floyd. he is deserving, but he is too small to be competitive

 

Cotto is damaged goods so it dont surprise me Mayweather goes after him.

i wouldnt be surprised at all i actually stated that this would happen, so that the fight wil be in more demand for the summer to the general public.

also cotto has one more fight before he leaves top rank, so arum will cash out with a big fight against floyd, who else can cotto fight that will bring arum the money that he wants and is a sellable fight.

 

This might be a reason as to why Arum doesnt want the media to go hard on floyd, because they have a bigger plan.

 

cotto has just become a 3 weight champ, if floyd or pac beats him at 154 it is a very good win.

and all this bs bout damaged goods, that takes away from pacman. he performed brilliantly to overcome cotto, to just dismiss him as damaged goods is a massive disservice.

 

Cotto is only 70% of the fighter he was 18 months to 24 months ago.

I disagree. i think he is the best victory on pac's resume.

he looke chinny at the tail end of his reign at 140 then moved up to become a beast. same here, at 154 he is a beast and would be a great victory for anyone.

 

cotto vs floyd is a big possibility and cotto will knock him out with a body punch!
