It's up to Peter. If he trains hard, he can still win some big fights.

If he doesn't trim down the extra weight, yes he's done.

When he came in at 240 ish I thought that was reasonable for him and figured he likely balooned to 260-270 in between fights. But when he comes in 265 after training camp that means he must have been close to 300. That loss to Vitali must have sent him back to the fridge for comfort.

When the Chef say he's overdone it's time for the doggies to get their scraps.
Sam can make a few more bucks as a stepping stone for up and comers.

He needs to get the hell outa Vegas.....rags to riches kinda kills the motivation to train

I'd like to see Sam loose 30lbs and redeem himself with some KO wins

Why do people think just by losing weight Peter will be a force again? He never had the mental ability to be top flight. The reason why the Klitschkos reign supreme is because they are mentally tough, very intelligent and have supreme arrogance. That alone is intimidating for all the other fighters.

It's like Michael Schumacher in his hey day, the man oozed arrogance because he KNEW he was THAT good. "I won't even let you come close to me because I'm simply better than you"

I assume you mean confidence rather than arrogance.

Confidence breeds arrogance. You need to have that belief to rise to the top.

Peter had it when we were singing his praises in 2005/2006. Now that his bubble burst he has shown that he doesn't have the mental fortitude to rise back to the top. Compare that to Wladimir Klitschko, soarked out in 2003 and 2004 and comes back bigger, better and more confident than ever.

All his opponents have talked a fair game but the majority of them have been knocked out cold. You could forgive Wladimir (or even Vitali) for being smug pricks about their situations.

Peter looked recently better than ever.
Even in fights with bums you can see improvements. he isnt that raw anymore and improved his timing a lot. Not only that he looked to be in great shape. I give him a better chance to even beat Wlad than Povetkin or even Haye. I´m sure Peter will land some big overhand rights on Wlad. Wlad showed problems to avoid them in his recent fights and Peter is good at it.
