    Check out these articles;

For the most part, Arum is being blamed for Pac fighting Margo. You even had Kellerman calling out TR for making in house fights during the Bradley fight. I'm not making this stuff up. Now if you have any articles where someone is being critical of Pacquiao himself for fighting Margo, feel free to share.

This is what I'm talking about. Williams can't just say, "make this fight happen" . He has a promoter who has dumped a lot of money into him and who will dictate who Williams fights. Does Williams want to fight Pac or May? Of course he does, that's a huge payday. That's what every fighter wants. However, it's not like he doesn't want to fight these other guys. He's already fought Martinez and Cintron, and he would fight them again. However, he is not his own promoter or manager. He has to entrust other people to make these fights for him.

He's still getting criticized for it. Isn't that what matters? I mean really... who gives a **** if it's Pac or Arum getting grief. It's there and that's what matters. Nitpicking on assigned grief? :patsch

I'm not disagreeing with you here, but Goosen should know Williams isn't a realistic opponent for either Floyd or Manny. So why continue to campaign for that? Publicity? So say they are ducking him> Goosen is not doing Williams any good here.

Considering my whole point is that Arum puts himself out there so that he, and not his fighters, get the bulk of the criticism, I believe it does matter. You gotta keep up here Lance.

Well if you want to blame Goosen then fine, but you're saying what Williams has to do like he has much say in the matter. This goes back to my point. Many fighters have little say in who they fight, but Arum is one if the few guys who really puts himself on the forefront which allows him, and not his fighters, to get criticized for undsireable fights.

Arum undermines the positive decisions he makes, even if they're plentiful, with the egregiously idiotic ones, even if they're few.

I've never seen any criticism of Arum on this forum which wasn't warranted. He has been a great promoter in the past but his bull**** the last few years doesn't fly. He hasn't put on a ppv I would be willing to buy for at least two years. In his heart he believes every fighter he has shaken hands with owes him money and owes their fame and fortune to him. Emmanuel needs to watch his back if he ever leaves Arum.

Bob Arum deserves every bit of the **** that he gets. He is a petty bitter old man that is willing to poison the sport so that he will always wind up on top.

I am keeping up. I just don't cry and make a big deal out of exactly WHO gets blame...the fighter or the promoter. But if that's your thing...nitpicking over that...more power to ya.

Bull****...if you think Williams has absolutely NO SAY over who he fights (baring they are realistic fights (not fantasy fights like vs. Pac or Floyd), then I don't know what to say. Perhaps Williams should buy himself out from Goosen, who isn't doing him any favors.

    Yup its bull****.

    Margarito doesn't deserve this payday.
Pac should be fighting at 140. 47 for Mayweather but thats it.
Cotto doesn't deserve a rematch by a long mile.
Arum has too much control over Pac who simply does whatever Arum wants.

    It stinks.

And yes Margarito has a shot at winning at 54 and in a sense its interesting but either way its silly because obviously 54 is two weight classes too big for Pac. Hell, even at 40 Pac has a small frame vs the players there but 35 is too draining for Pac now.

But 54? Its really really stupid and we are being robbed of what would be a very interesting run of Pac vs all these great 140 fighters, and a very dangerous one.

Margarito at 54 is a dangerous fight for Pacquiao. Don't kid yourself. People are pissed off at Arum not because its a light touch but because its just ****ing stupid on many levels. Margarito doesn't deserve the fight. Its two freaking weight divisions higher than where Pac should be fighting. Its just Arum cashing in.

On the other hand, Goosen and / or Williams are avoiding a big fight with Martinez. Why does Williams deserve a bigger cut? He won? Many maybe even most people think he lost a close fight. Martinez went on to light up Pavlik. Williams had that mess with Cintron not his fault but it wasn't some glorious win either.

I blame Pacquiao for not having more control over his career. Personally I am not slagging Williams or even saying he is avoiding anyone but lets see what they do.

I have said all along that the Williams team were morons for campaigning above 47 if they could still make 47. They wasted time and exposed Williams as vulnerable exactly what I thought would happen.

If I was running that show I would have stayed down at 47 and gone down the list. Right down the list. If I can't get a fight vs 1 thru 5 I go for 6 thru 10. They would have forced a fight with a big name by now.

If Paul is drained at 47 then go with 54.

There are so many names at there for PW to fight at 47/54/60. They want to make big money so I expect to see them take on one of them soon.
