Solo Boxeo Tecate: Craig McEwan vs. Danny Perez RBR

Round 1

McEwan jabs and flurries as Perez pressures him around the ring. Perez is stooping low and then straightening back up repeatedly, McEwan times it and clips him with a straight left to the chin as he pulls up. Perez is able to stuff his jab into the mouth of McEwan, who's using a lot of nervous energy moving around.

Round 2

Sloppy, ugly action ensues as McEwan tries to slap the sides of Perez and gets grabbed and mauled. Perez lunges with a haymaker right and they both crash into the ropes. McEwan continues to light up the body of Perez with light flurries. Perez keeps the pressure on, and despite not using a jab to set them up is able to land some wide left hooks that puff up and bloody the right eye of McEwan. McEwan begins to dance around in front of Perez, getting cute as Perez starts to feel macho and pounds his own chest.

Round 3

McEwan flails to the body with either fist, as Perez tries to bring a right hand down the pipe and hit McEwan in the face. McEwan, after throwing with a bit of power at the very beginning of the round with a couple of right hooks, is just looking to score with the body shots and stay on the move. Perez walks him down and tries to pick off his body slaps to clear a path for his right hand. McEwan bleeding freely from the right eye now. They clinch up, split, and McEwan begins to paint across Perez's dome as he dances around him. Perez abruptly turns fast and pops McEwan with a jab to the nose.

 

Round 4

McEwan is still throwing pitty-pats to the body but Perez is dropping his hands a bit. McEwan takes advantage by hitting him in the chin with his longer range from the outside. Perez shakes his head as though unperturbed. Perez ducks a flurry and digs in a right hand to the body. McEwan slaps recklessly and falls into a clinch. Perez is covering up and exploding with hard body shots of his own every few moments.

 

Round 5

McEwan swipes at him from the outside until they clinch up. It gets pretty rough on the inside before they're broken up, a lot of shoulders popping up. Perez is now trying to land a single power punch at a time for the most part, staying in a guard while McEwan buzzes around him. Perez comes forward and lands five body punches alternating to either side of McEwan's body. McEwan responds with straight sequences to the chin, which mostly hit glove. They tie up a couple of more times.
