How does Tony Jeffries get into ring NOT knowing how long his fight is?!

Tony Jeffries has just tweeted the following after last night's fight:

"I hate excuses really do, I was going to pull out the fight cos I tore my bicep 2weeks ago so Maloney knocked it done to a 6 rounder cos my preparation was crap couldn't thro puches or spar, and I never found out it was a 8 rounder until after the 6th round when the fight shud of been finished.

I cudnt believe it,I was wrecked, if I knew it was a 8rounder I wud of pulled out, cos preparation was crap !

Sky sports fault,now I hav a blemish on my perfect record- still undefeated but to me a draw feels like a loss,that wasn't suppose to happen."

do they have a magic cure in the US that will stop him being a robot? maybe he should go see the wizard of oz

 

Come on Rob he would get his arse handed to him in america, this goes to show how far away the amateur side of the sport is from the pro's. If jefferies can win an olympic medal but struggle against an ok journeyman then you is shows you they are a million miles apart, also Rimmer is a ****ing **** trainer who would be way down on my list as being a trainer i would consider.

 

Do they have a cure for thickness in america ?i thought there was more thickos in america than in the uk

 

He makes excuses after every fight.

He's also a very average boxer not worthy of Sky investment. I wonder how much he's been getting paid.

even with a great trainer i can't see him getting beyond domestic level, which isn't a bad thing in itself, but its probably not worth going to the states for.

he probably earns better than average because he pulls in the crowds in the north east. take him out of the north east and he stops earning.

Stick him in with a couple more bums that he can spark out, then feed him to Groves.

Could happen because of Maloney's relationship with Haymaker.

 

Am with rob on this one he needs to get himself out in the states or Germany and get some decent sparring and out of his comfort zone, he seems to be a north east version of Hatton (man of the people), I think while he is ad******g to the pro game he needs to drop that persona

Because his promoter told him on Thursday and again in the dressing room before the fight that it had been changed from an 8 rounder to a 6 rounder.

Maloney confirmed this in the post-fight interview. Can't blame Jeffries for that part.

 

I was shocked at how bad he is. I thought he'd make a good pro. But you have to wonder how serious he takes his training, weather or not he hurt his bicep.
