    Middleweight

I wouldn't favour anybody but I would give Ray Robinson a 50% chance. Roy SD

    25%-45%

Marvin Hagler 45%. Great pressure fighter, Hagler would win the first 4 or 5 rounds until Jones started counterpunching Hagler's head off. Roy UD

Prime Mike McCallum 40%. Mike was a great fighter and I think would give Jones one of the toughest fights at Middle. Roy's body has never been tested, but I see Roy winning by UD.

Thomas Hearns 35%. I love Hearns. But this fight can only end by KO. I think Hearns chin would fail before Jones would.

Carlos Monzon 30%. Good power but Jones would kill him.

Harry Greb 20%. Jones wins by TKO

    Super Middleweight

Nobody beats a prime Roy Jones at Super Middle :deal

    Light Heavyweight

Who I'd favour to beat him -

    Michael Spinks 70% chance.

    50% chance of beating Jones

Bob Foster. I can see Jones outboxing Foster, he wouldn't stand in front of Foster trading punches like a lot of Foster's opponents. Roy would use his great reflexes and get away from Foster's jab so he couldn't set anything up. Maybe even Roy knocks Foster down. But if Foster does land cleanly it's over.

    20%-45%

Ezzard Charles 40%. I can see Jones winning by TKO :bbb

Archie Moore 30%. Roy wins by TKO/KO.

Gene Tunney 25%. Tunney is so overrated it's not even funny. Roy UD

Billy Conn 20%. Billy is too featherfisted to hurt Jones. Roy would batter poor Billy Conn.

    * As you can see I only favour Spinks to beat Jones. With Robinson and Foster having 50/50 chances with Jones. :rasta

I give Micky Walker a good shot at middleweight, perhaps even make him the favorite.

Foster would have no chance at 175. Charles and Moore would have much better chances than you're giving them, and would perhaps even be favourites.

yea i always had Charles as a favorite over Jones at light heavy. But I just don't see it anymore. I can definitely see why other people would have Charles as a favorite over him tho.

Archie Moore should no where in hell be a favorite over Jones tho. Hell no.

Why would Foster have no chance?

Because he's poor. I like Jones to stop him actually.

    MW:
    Walker
    Burley
    Robinson
    Tiger
    Monzon
    Hagler

There are plenty of others who I think have a good chance like Fullmer, Valdes, H. Williams, L. Marshall and Briscoe. Jones had all the talent but never proved to be up there with them at mw. And he was fairly inexperienced.
Olt-timers like Dempsey, Ryan, Fitzsimmons, Ketchel, Greb who I think would have more than just a chance I won´t comment since there isn´t enough or none footage of them.

    SMW:
None, also I think Joe Calzaghe is close to 50/50.

    LHW:
    Loughran
    Tunney
    J. H. Lewis
    Conn
    L. Marshall
    Bivins
    Charles
    Moore
    Torres
    Foster
    Spinks

I think should all be favs.

There are plenty of others I think have a good shot too, from Delaney to DM.
I did not include old-timers like Fitzsimmons or Langford.

No, I just see Jones at what he is. An atg talent who never really proved his class.

But John Henry Lewis and Benny Briscoe did to a greater extent?

I give Bob Fitzsimmons a 905 chance at every weight except middleweight (98%) and Heavyweight (88%)

My sentiments exactly. Foster would time one of Jones' sharp shooting attempts. Roy would make him look bad as long as he's upright, but at one point he'd come in to score and not get out again. Fosters jab would cause even a rhythm breaker like Jones massive problems IMO.

I won't pick a round, it could effectively happen anywhere between the opening and closing bells. But it would happen.

And you're confident of this, despite the fact that Jones has the better footwork, timing, speed, reflexes and punch picking? Foster couldn't time Chris Finnegan (very good fighter and a favourite of mine, but with defensive holes you could drive a lorry through) for a power shot but he's going to be catching somebody as slick and fast as Jones in the act? This is madness, Flea, and you know that I respect you massively as a poster.

Foster never countered/timed anyone anyway, he would just wade predictably into range and punch with his opponents, hoping to land something more or less by chance. He's probably not even at the level of a Cuevas, Trinidad or Jackson in terms of punching ability, let alone an ATG like Zarate, or Louis or Arguello.

Foster has the rare distinction of being the only "great" LHW to have faced even worse opposition than Jones, and that's saying something. There literally are amateurs down my gym that have better skills than Tommy ****ing Hicks. I have no idea why people consistenly make apologies for this hype train (or maybe it's just discrediting Jones). He's become even more over-rated than Monzon on here.
