This fight is ridiculous. Two fights ago, Margarito got caught trying to cheat, got annihilated by Shane Mosley that same night, got suspended for over a year, beats a bum, and now gets a shot at Pacquiao for a vacant title? What has he done to earn this fight? This proves how big of a joke boxing really is. Boxing will eventually die, because of stuff like this and it has very little credibility anymore anyway.

That comparison is foolish. Mosley cheated back in 2003 and his fight with Mayweather was in 2010. Mosley had built his credibility back up in those 7 years where as Margarito had only fought one fight which was against a bum since he got caught cheating just last year.

 

Put it on the one who is conveniently on vacation until November but can fight on december against Cotto.

 

The comparison is with regards to "cheating", not as to how they rebounded after caught cheating.

Besides a loaded glove is easily removed from equation after the next fight.

Gotcha, all Pacquiao has to do is wait 7 years so that Margo will be 39 years old like Mosley was and then it will be OK to fight him.

I say good for Pacquaio. Margarito is a huge welterweight, probably now more a light middle, with a great chin, heart and stamina. Pacquiao reportedly said he'd even fight him in Mexico. I don't understand what the fuss is about, it should be an exciting fight.

 

They both cheated but Mosley rebuilt his credibility and Margarito hasn't and that's the difference. You guys are trying to compare something that's not comparable. Margarito doesn't deserve a shot, because he hasn't earned it. Mosley earned his shot by beating and competing against good opposition. That's why people won't hold it against him. Margarito has only had one fight since he's been back and it was against a bum.
