Who performed better vs Greg Haugen - Whitaker or Chavez?

Haugen was weight-drained and out-classed by Whitaker back in 1988 or 1989 at 135 pounds.... Still, Haugen went all 12 rds against Perny Whit.....

J.C. Chavez just beat the **** outta a frozen Haugen in Mexico in 1993..... Haugen froze like a rabbit in the spotlight......

Whitaker. The Chavez fight was a bit of a charade really, with Chavez clearly past his best and plodding forward, prolonging the inevitable for a few rounds for the sake of giving the crowd a show.

 

So what you are telling everyone here is that if a fighter is not able to KO a fighter and has to settle for a shutout UD is better than a fighter toying with the same guy and choosing when he decided to finish him off?

I swear some of you have some weird standards of whats a better performance.

 

Chavez!! He beat Haugens brains in!! I guess all the months of Haugen saying Chavez fought alot of Tijuana cab drivers sealed the deal for Greg!! On another note im a huge Haugen Fan!! Loved it when he beat Camacho!!

 

Chavez was arguably five years past his pomp when he destroyed Haugen, who himself was past it.

Haugen was a better fighter when he fought Whitaker, and a primed Whitaker made him look quite the fool...

Just because it was a lot more fun to watch, in an incredible Stadium, I go for JC Superstar.

 

I think it's rather obvious that Chavez beat Haugen even more impressively than did Whitaker...I mean both were masterfully dominating, but Haugen was a vengeful monster that night in May-hee-co..Haugen was the ritual gringo sacrifice in front of that huge crowd..Chavez could have ended it in the 1st if he wanted to..again, it's pretty obvious.

 

Kinda scary to think of what a peak Chavez would have done to G.H. then, isn't it?

 

Whitaker for shutting out a prime Haugen. Haugen admitted that he was washed up and doing drugs by the time he fought Chavez. He said Whitaker was the best boxer he faced. It was a masterclass.

 

Of course he will say that after talking **** about Chavez's opposition then got beat up by Chavez like nothing afterward.

 

Its a double standard particularlly which ever fanboy club their apart of.:deal

Chavez. He won every second of all 5 rounds and was just toying with him before getting the stoppage.

 

Geese, what fight were you watching friend? Chavez, ticked off about the Mexican taxi driver jabs, just whaled on Greg. One of his more awesome performances.

 

It's ironic that the people that are saying Chavez here are the same ones that will tell you just how many decades Chavez was past his prime when Whitaker schooled him.
