Without addressing the moronic point about "brave", how in the world does anyone regard Ali as a better technical fighter than Floyd? Absurd.
Ali wasn't a technical boxer, it's not even a comparison to be made. Ali did everything wrong according to a technical standpoint. He was however a superior athlete and fighter to floyd in almost every way prime for prime. It's like... Toney is a superior technical boxer to floyd, but he still lost to the unorthodox Roy Jones Jr. And floyd even with his brilliance in technical boxing still lost to the aggression of Castillo.
I'm not sure whether you're adding to my point, or trying to suggest Ali's apparent superiority in terms of athleticism gives him an edge in terms of offense. All my post was pointing out is that the person I was replying to has no ****ing clue.
Well, he definitely was better offensively than floyd, but floyd was more accurate and conservative. Depends on if you like a guy who is willing to throw alot and has a better jab setting up the punches, or do you like a conservative 1/2 type guy who leads with left hooks and right crosses, then resets and does it again. I think Floyd is a better counter puncher, but that comes from defense, not offense. Offensively Ali is much superior to floyd.
if u beat the likes of frasier + foreman u r a very technical fighter.u have vto be.technical is winning more rds with boxing skills, especially with come forward fighters.hit, not get hit,or make it look that way
Again, this thread is about "prime for prime". Floyd wasn't a conservative one-two puncher in his prime, and his offense was comprehensive. He threw every punch in the book. If you like you can call Ali better offensively, but "much superior" is a stretch. Ali was "more offensive", but not "better offensively".
Alright, that is your opinion. I'll leave it at that. However in the real world, I am inclined to go with the voters.... and by a large margin.
The right answer is ALI. He punches with his opponents.FLOY is defence first.ALI bangs with ya make ya miss hitting and moving at the same time.ALI is simply a LEGEND it's a no contest.Trust me. He also does things that's crazy like take a beating on the ropes ( rope-a-dope). Fought the best.Fought around the world in the heat, rain, in the jungles.Took all comers even way past his prime. If you give Floyd rounds 4, 5 and make round 10 9-9, its very easy to see how the judges got their scores. 12 was an extremely close round aswell. If you scored the swing rounds for Mayweather, its easy to see a fairly wide Mayweather victory, if you scored em for Castillo a close Castillo victory isnt out of the question either. Difference is Mayweather fans except the fight could have went either way, Floyd hater bitches like Lucille, say it could have only gone either way, which is laughable. Most of Castllos punches landed on Floyds arms btw. The compubox was laughable. Seeing as how if Floyd got hit as many times by Castillo as compubox says, he'd have more then a few small bruises without much of a mark on him.
