Bob Arum + Freddie Roach + Manny Pacquioa = Soap Opera. I for one am done with these silly antics. Anything Arum is a part of has fixed written all over it.

well the floyd fight is just an odd thing well he had his chance to pursue shane

at 154 Sergey D is the longest reigning champ why not or Paul Williams Corey Spinks has held several times and is a tricky counter puncher

    he has options

Williams seems to be planning a rematch with Martinez. Spinks?, seriously?, you think the public will show interest in that?. Spinks doesn't even bother to call anyone out lately or say anything either.

Pacquiao would get a shot at the middleweight championship if he wanted. Suliaman doesnt care about rankings or rules.

As for Pacquiao, he is one of those fighters that transcends divisions and general boxing rankings. I'm fine with him fighting for titles without "working through the rankings" in a particular division.

The lineal champion at 140 and title holder at 147 who recently crushed the current WBA 154lb champ is getting a shot at the vacant WBC title at 154.

    I've seen worse.

That's not what i hear. Williams has been calling out Pacquiao. Right now the linear champion is really Dzin who is the longest reigning champion i believe. Pacquiao has plenty of options to fight that is more deserving then freaking Margo-Cheato.

You think a fight with Dzin is PPV material?, they already came off a bad fight with Clottey and it didn't do that good. These are the options Arum has on the table and none has heard anything from Dzin. About Williams, he did call out Pacquiao and many others, but from the looks of things they might be planning a rematch with Martinez. Williams has unfinished business to settle out.

It keeps them from having to make up another belt to give him. My only problem is that it isn't a belt that Pac is likely to defend against all comers which makes putting him in line dubious.

Quick edit. Margarito is another problem I have with it. He should defend against a legit 154 pounder. I think giving Martinez 'right of first refusal' would be the right thing to do.

Pac deserves it. It is Marg who doesn't.

    Why not?

He is rated numero uno by the WBC.

Hell, when you think about it the op is correct. Margarito is more deserving of a shot at this title than Pac is:lol:
