Mike McCallum v Jeff Harding - Civic Center, Bismarck, North Dakota, USA.

The comparatively short, but brilliant career of Aussie Jeff 'Hitman' Harding comes to a close. Losing his WBC light heavyweight title on PTS over 12 rounds in only his second career loss to 'The Bodysnatcher'.

Yeah, as a natural middleweight who grew into a light heavy, he sure gave away weight, height and reach in accumulating some of his titles.

He won the national heavyweight title weighing 164 lbs! Defending champion Foster Bibron weighed in at 210 lbs, meaning a difference of 46 lbs (21 kgs)!

In his last outing at heavyweight against Marc Ecimovic he again gave away a ridiculous 33 pounds ( 15 kgs).

Hardly surprised Ash. The older champs who got through unscathed and have since looked after themselves are still unbelievable in the gym.

Lou Cafaro v Rod Carr – Perth, WA.

‘Rocket’ Rod Carr loses the Commonwealth super middleweight title he won from Ray Acqquaye by TKO in round 5 of 12.

Carr had two attempts at winning back the title, both against Henry Wharton. He lost narrowly on points in the first bout, but was stopped in the second.

‘Rocket’s’ son Jake is now coming along in the amateur ranks:

My invoice is in the mail Ash - have tried to keep a cap on pricing but the recent addition of pictures has meant prices had to be increased marginally.

Appear to have lost the most vocal and animated reader of this thread, 20a87. Used to add his own blend of rather oddball 'variety' to what is otherwise a fairly serious, focused thread.
