i also believe the fight should be at 154, if pac decides to come in at 150 thats his choice then.

So what if both him and his opponent decide to come in at 150?

    I agree 100%

catchweights are ok if it is a non title bout.

if he wants to come in light it is his choice, like floyd vs odlh(im sure there are other examples but i cant think off top of my head)

having catchweight vs cotto was a ***** move, but least he defended at 147.

if he dont want to fight an opponent weighing 154 at the weigh in, then stick to 147.

A choice is one thing, cotto chose to come in at 146 vs clottey.

an enforcement is something else and shouldnt be sanctioned.

that messes up the point of having weight divisions and their limits, i also believe there are to many divisions as it is, we don't need everyone having catchweight fights aswell, boxing needs order, rules and limits when it comes to weight.
154=154 so if they both decide to come in at 150 thats fine but don't exclude the extra 4 points that should be available.

So, if two fighters both choose to come in at a certain weight that's ok by you, but if they choose to include that agreement in a written contract, it isn't?

Should any agreements be allowed in contracts for title fights - ring size, gloves, etc?

What exactly is the 'point' of having weight divisions other than to ensure fights are held on an even basis?

If it is a 154 title fight you can choose to weigh upto 154. that choice should not be taken away.

if there is a 10 ounce glove title, then your gloves should be 10 ounce.

surely you dont condone being forced to fight for a 154 title at 150

No, if a fight is a mandatory one, then there should be and can be no such clauses attached.

If a fight is voluntary, then I don't see how anyone could possibly be forced to do anything. How could they?
