If you missed it, Chauncy did a recent interview with Eastside. He wants Tua to fight him as he is the interim champion and David needs a fight with a ranked contender to bounce back from the "draw" result with Barrett. Since Welliver is a name in New Zealand and Tua/Cameron fizzeld out as Fight Of The Century.....perhaps this is the perfect fight for David Tua's next match.

Do you all think Welliver deserves another crack at a top guy? He went 9 rounds with Solis and should have been allowed to go much farther....bad stoppage. Since then, he took almost a year off, followed by 5 fights in 40 days, is 7-0 with minor titles in the WBO and WBC, and has gotten down to 248 from the 282 he fought Solis at. To me, he deserves another shot for sure.

And then....if they do square off....does Tuaman have enough left to break the iron chin of Welliver? Can he KO him without a joke stoppage like Solis got?

And I made a video to hype the fight.....join Team Welliver.....David Tua Is Next!

Thank you for giving a bit more exposure to the interview. Chauncy did a swell job in that one as always. I am 100% in support of Chauncy. He is a good friend and a skilled fighter. Btw, he just called me and gave me the results of his latest fight; he just beat Joell Godfrey from The Contender a couple of hours ago.

Watch the fight again clown, the stoppage was legit. Welliver was thoroughly dominated the whole fight and was about to leave the ring on a stretcher if Van De Wiele didn't save him.

And his 5 fights in 40 days or whatever, not to mention his whole career has been feasting off of Z-level bums in the backwoods. He's never beaten anyone in the top 20, dare I say even top 50.

Calling out a irrelevant, never was like Tua, who was given a gift draw over a shot to hell Barrett last week, getting dumped on his ass in the process is pretty lame.

Excellent News! Rack Another Win Up For The Good Guy!

Great article as well. I'm really excited about Chauncy's comeback. If he stays 250 or lower, he is going to be tough for anybody to deal with.

As for the Solis stoppage...assuming that is you fightscribe....no way was that called for. Chauncy has never been down or out...he gets stopped while intelligently defending himself in the corner...he was throwing a punch as the ref dove in. He was rocked for a split second but he recovered quickly because he is pretty much impossible to knock out. And that open scoring is BS. But Chauncy was still coming....the real fat ass, lazy mf'r on the card quit on his damn stool later that night after his open scoring was read.....what a champion move.....and now he gets another shot at Wlad. Chauncy would kick Sam Peter's ass too. He has 10 times the heart.

Any recent news out of the Tua Camp? I hope he takes this fight with Chauncy and it goes down in Aukland. Those 2 will put on a show the crowd will never forget. :bbb

:good I agree with everything you said. Last I heard from Tua Camp was that Tua had damaged his shoulder, possibly a torn rotator cuff.

I saw the shoulder spin as well. Not good news for a Welliver/Tua match up. Hopefully Tua recovers quickly and the fight can be made.

I also see that Briggs is now next for Vitali.....that sucks. I was hoping Chauncy would get a chance to knock the dead animal off his head. They are the 2 most active HW's out there right now and Chauncy would have looked like a million bucks while whooping him.

But whatever, Chauncy is 1 big win away form a title shot. Briggs didn't beat anybody this time. Sosnowski won 1 decent fight and that was shortly after losing to the most feather fisted HW who is decent, Zuri Lawerence. The bar is low.

We'll see who mans up to Welliver. Perhaps I need to start making some call out videos James Toneys way. Wouldn't that be sweet, all set to call him out after Couture whoops his ass. Release the video on all the forums right after the match concludes. Bwahahahahaha

Even though Tua is past his prime he still hits this fat boy in his stomach and causes six bags of donuts, a box twinkies, and a big mac to fall out of his shorts!

    Tua tko3 Welliver
