I don't doubt it for a second. Gavin is class; hopefully Daws by the end of this year, then some solid European opponents at the start of 2011, and a top ten opponent by the end of that year.

2012 will be Gavins year, mark my words.

Woodhouse and TBA are not going to get him anywhere. Put him in with at least the English champ.

I agree with Frank. I think he will be ready to step up in 12-18 months time to world class.

Yeah - it was a good fight to make.

The last opponent was pretty poor though.... apparently Gavin was a bit underwhelmed himself.

Hopefully they put him in for the British before the year is out, because he's definitely ready.

Regardless, that chap had never been stopped: Gavin did what a top class fighter should do in those situations and blew him away.

I'd have no trouble with making Frankie Gavin vs Gavin Rees next up. Honestly.

what people on here dont realise is coaches can see what these guys do a daily basis and are fully aware of what there capable of. i have nothing to gain praising frankie gavin or tony bellew on here there just imo hugely talented boxers, indeed arnie farnell should get huge praise coz he puts loads of hard work into these guys to produce on the night.folk need to go into a top pro gym see what these boys go through then make judgements im sure they will be much diffrent.i will stop ****ing moaning now sorry ha ha

I think one year is pushing it considering he should be fighting somebody like Woodhouse next as he was indeed lined up to.

2 maybe if he's fast tracked and gets the Brit title within a year.

He is a year older than Khan. I'm surprised, thought he would be the younger one. I would say he needs a year and a half. Well actually it depends on how fast they bring him along. He is the same height as Khan so he will be taller than most LWWs. But the bad news for him is that there are a lot of monsters at that weight..........won't be easy.

I don't think he did. Don't get me wrong, it was pretty impressive how Place dealt with him, but he got tagged quite a few times compared to when Frankie fought him. But you don't expect a fighter with Gavin's defensive ability to get caught by many punches :good
