Who else is Valuev going to fight and make this kind of money? Nobody. Should have took the 2.5 million earlier this year. :deal Not to mention it is a free shot at a belt and he doesn't want it?:rofl:patsch

Nikolay millions of boxing fans are following your negotiations with Vitali Klitschko. Why can’t you agree?
Money. Boxing is business. Conditions which were offered by Vitali which didn’t satisfy either my promoters or me. Klitschko likes to say that it’s Don King, but the Klitschko brothers stack everything in their favor and they don’t think about the interests of others. It’s impossible to deal with them.

Even though he is a boring fighter the man speaks the truth.

Why doesn't Valuev just exercise his rematch clause against Haye? He has options quit whining and fight somebody.

Valuev is a giant cry baby. The man has two shots at a HW belt either rematching Haye or going in against Vitali and he has NO INTEREST IN NEITHER OF THEM! If a boxer does not want to fight title shots that are laying right in front of him then it is time to retire.

I think he's plain scared of Haye. After that shot in round twelve that had him stumbling across the ring and into the ropes I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to come near any one with a punch, not just Haye or Klitschko.

Of course Vitali knows he would be a huge underdog in a rematch with Haye, but it also shows you that his paycheck in a rematch is probably even lower than the $1.5 million Vitali offers him. If Valuev was guaranteed a big payday in a Haye rematch he would have already taken it.

    No.
The problem is that Valuev signed a "slave contract" (just like Haye did), only back then in wasn't in fashion to run around screaming "Slave contract!!!!"

Haye's (and Valabuev's) contract with Sauerland contains 50% options on three future fights and a mandatory rematch clause for Haye against an S.E. named opponent, not necessarily Valuev. Since Valuev is of no longer financial interest to S.E., he will be replaced with someone else and Haye WILL HAVE TO FACE him according to his contractual obligations with S.E. My guess it's going to be Povetkin.

S.E. pulled Pov out of the fight with Wlad because S.E. would only get 50% of Pov's share (1 mio). He'll probably put Haye and Pov in the ring against each other and that way pocket a few million being the 50% stakeholder in both these fighters' purses.

It seems that Kolya Valuev got 'Haye fever'. He is making poor excuses. He cannot make more money against anyone else. He is not young. Time is not on his side. I think that Kolya repeats what Don King wispers in his ear.

Looks like he's enjoying his retirement, arriving in style in his 1985 Mitsubishi, carrying a plastic bag:
