No, it's money. As I just said, Haye keeps all UK pay per view rights, which means his opponent don't get ****. Valuev wants to fight Vitali because he thinks he can get more.

Dickhead should have accepted 2.5 million earlier in the year then shouldn't he?

    It's both.
Besides, Sauerland has different plans for Haye's next defense.

Valuev is disapearing into irelevance hasnt fought since Haye hardly fought prior to Haye

His draw power has been squandered he has no belt he is old

    He should take the money

Wlad or a Haye rematch are probably the only other fights that can match or exceed vitali financially

Why are you mixing up pounds and dollars?
For the record, Ruiz got $1.2m against Haye. $1m purse, the rest was step aside money

I guess the question is...does Vitali stand to make 500K more if he fights Valuev than if he fights Briggs? If the answer to that is yes then Vitali should up the ante...get the Beast in the ring.

Where are Solis and Austin in all this? Do either of these guys actually want to fight Vitali?

Kid, my point was that Valuev would be paid less than 1.5 million dollars to fight Haye. And since Ruiz only made 1 million dollars, that seems like a fair assumption...would you say?

Vitali is aging, too. But since he took 4 years off, he probably has less ring wear than Valuev, who has just looked like crap of late. The guy is finished. Vitali is will be finished to in about a year.

    I agree.

Plus, Vitali has virtually no risk of losing, and could have another fight or three if he wishes.

Meanwhile, Valuev is on his way out and only stands to be a stepping stone for someone coming up.

Vitali should offer 2.5 Mil, no TV rights and Valuev should take it.

They should fight, and both retire.

Valuev, without his size, is a **** fighter. He should thank his lucky stars he has earned what he has earned and be grateful for the offer. The freak thinks too much of himself.

I'm not sure why should Vitali care how much money Valuev gets after the "big team" get their cut, I mean seriously, Niko should ask his team for more, not Vitali. $1.5M is the offer, which is more than reasonable now that Valuev has nothing on the horizon. Maybe he should've accepted the $2.5M back then, but when there were other possibilities such as the Haye rematch or Solis, his team asked for a lot more. Big mistake.

Absolut right and on the otherhand Valuev gets nothing.

1,5 million is much money for a fight today.
