Peter isn't the big puncher he was perceived to be when he fought B -level fighters. One lonely knockout against Maskaev, no knockouts or even knockdowns against any other top fighter. Wlad isn't as chinny as most people think. He took flush power shots from Mercer, Barrett, even Brewster in the 3rd round of their first fight and was not troubled. Peter doesn't punch harder than these fighters. Wlad's problem with getting knocked down seems to be more confusion and a resulting lack of balance. The current version of Wlad is unlikely to get as nervous or confused as the version that fought Peter the first time or when he totally underestimated Sanders. One - sided beatdown and stoppage by round 8 for Wlad.
to be honest, peter can of course, but i think this time wlad will destroy him in the first 6 rounds. it will be a tko, and the punch will be a left hook.
No he didn't. The ref failed to see rabbit punches twice. He scored one legal knockdown against a very nervous version of Wlad without really hurting him. And Toney was shot to **** and hasn't faced the better punchers at HW, his chin was great at lower weights, at HW it is unknown.
Yes he did. There are always excuses when Wlad is knocked down. I think the count is now in thirteen career knockdowns. Toneys chin has proven to be pure granite in various bouts; Wlad on the other hand has been dropped thirteen times. Besides even if you dont count two of the three wlad knockdowns, he still has three knockdowns against top heavies. He clearly has power but his means to deliver it are lacking
I really doubt it. He knocked him down once while Wladimir was going backwards. He just caught him going backwards. The other two were illegal. This time it will not happen. Wladimir broke his confidence in 12 round. He ruined him in that final round.
