Valuev should give praise on his knees for 1.5 million. There are probably dozends of better boxers right now who make far less. Valuev had his belt because of more gift decisions in his favor than any recent belt holder. Donald, Ruiz, Holyfield all beat him, Chagaev beat him clearly and somehow magically even after that loss, the belt went back to Valuev. He hasn't shown any real desire to win a fight in a long time. How many boxers are there who look so utterly disinterested in the ring? He doesn't bring excitement, has almost no chance of KO'ing anyone good, has no belt, has two losses and a gift decision in his last three fights. 1.5 million is really incredibly generous.

If what has been said is true, and the 1.5 million is MORE than Valeuv was bringing in when he was a titleholder...........for him to refuse that, now that he has NO title.............

This reeks of Don King's infamous nonsensically unfair demands.

If Valuev won't take this kind of money due to *too many people to pay*, that is his own fault. I imagine King gets a lion's share of it...........get rid of that #$@#@ King and Valuev would probably already took the money and signed the deal, long ago.

If true, this is a turning point in rediculousness. King and Valeuv have taken the assanine it to a new level.

Valuev goes through more than 1.5 million a week in razors just trying to shave his back.

Why should he offer more, out of pity ? Fact is that Valuev is in no position to negotiate demands, after his should've-been loss to Holyfield and his loss to Haye.

Nikolay millions of boxing fans are following your negotiations with Vitali Klitschko. Why can’t you agree?

Money. Boxing is business. Conditions which were offered by Vitali which didn’t satisfy either my promoters or me. Klitschko likes to say that it’s Don King, but the Klitschko brothers stack everything in their favor and they don’t think about the interests of others. It’s impossible to deal with them.

Recently Vitali was in Saint Petersburg. You met him?

Yes. Vitali called me and asked whether I was in the city. I answered yes, we met, had some coffee, and discussed our possible fight. Vitali has offered me $1.5 million for the fight, but for such money Don King can’t agree. I will not fight Vitali if he doesn’t offer more money for the fight.

    .......................

How can someone refute THEIR OWN statement, a matter of seconds later?

Valuev should get rid of King and take one of the biggest paydays of his career, even coming off a loss, without a title, and be thankful for the money and titleshot.................

Two reason why people want this fight (and why Vitali should make it happen)

    1) To see 2 giants in the ring
    2) To see Valuev get KO'ed - we are yet to see the tall tree fall

Value was offered that in January. Don King said it wasn't enough, they wanted $2.5 million plus a percentage of international TV money, equaling a total $4 million pay day. That's what Valuev asked for in January

It's hard to take morons like Valuev with his idiotic promoters Sauerland and Don King seriously. They don't know what they want, they have no fight lined up, he's taking no tune ups. Whenever he's approached about a fight he's pricing himself out of the fight (as a challenger!) with ever increasing demands. It's comical really.

I am starting to think that noone is even considering a victory over a Klitschko anymore, when was the last time that a dude without brain damage said he wants Klitschko's belt? They are wise though they know after a fight with either brother they are going to be called bums and they want a good compensation for their career ending with brain damage. So even with a belt in line they consider a fight with Klitschko a lose/lose situation. lol

I think Valuev should have been a wrestler! He could have been like Andre the giant! A loved and adored Giant. I dont know why anyone didnt mention this to him when he was younger?

He should have been hooked up with Vince Mcmahon a long long time ago!

Im being serious dudes!, if you are a giant, you may as well be famous, and I dont really think its that fair being that big in boxing.

He seems a lovely man, but how a good a boxer is he?
