i don't think you can go that far, but there needs to be a british title top 10 rankings by the bbbofc. i do my own to let myself no if a defence is crap or not. dont think concepcion is top 10 at lmw.

Wladamir Klitscko, Cunningham, Dawson, Ward, Martinez, Williams, Mayweather, Bradley.

there the top ranked fighters in the division and there all cut up, six pack, big arms, theres nothing you would take off them.

gavin doesnt look like that and he was talking about moving up to welterweight. thats what worries me. i will see him at 140lbs for championship fights before i make a final verdict.

I was thinking Matthew Hall myself.

Every defence should be a mandatory, if the champ avoids the fight he's stripped and banned from the title for a year..... and if the mando backs out barring injury (proven by a doc's report :yep) he is banned for a year as well.

That would whip our domestic scene into shape.

agree bout the mando thing, just makes plain sense and would restore more pride in the lonsdale belt

Yeah - it's the British title but quite often the champion doesn't face the best challengers because the board seem to just accept anyone.

I'm in Sheffield the next two days.... hopefully when I go for a pub lunch I don't bump into Kell Brook

The Board did used to allow voluntaries but were also very strict on mandatories as well. I guess they were in a more powerful position back then, there we no intercontinental etc titles competing with the British....

Unless you are planning to use the Ladies toilets while you are there you should be OK.

Me neither. I think this is a case where the prizefighter winner should get a domestic title shot. Apart from maybe Matthew Hall or Craig Watson, I don't think anyone merits a shot more than Prince Arron at the weight

Can I have a look at your rankings? I think Concepcion is comfortably in the top 10 TBH.

I bet he's right on the fringe of the top 10, given his recent form.

Really, with the amount of passable challengers in the division it's poor form from both Maloney and the board to have Concepcion at this time.

Rhodes Euro champ, Hall has had a EBU-EU title shot lined up for ages, Small just fought for the title (and no-one wants to see him fight again anyway), Rose was going to fight for the title (he lost to Maxwell), Woolcombe retired apparently, Watson is at welterweight, Pryce is at welterweight.

That effectively leaves these guys as viable opponents for Webb IMO:

    Prince Arron
    Neil Sinclair
    Martin Concepcion
    Max Maxwell

That is in order as to who I would prefer Webb to fight, so for me Concepcion isn't the best, but he isn't the worst choice either.
