no way in hell Paul Williams KO's Cotto, but i have a feeling Cotto's skin cant hold up to much punishment these days, which means trouble against a volume pucher like Williams. Williams TKO around the 10th round
I agree. Arum didn't want anything to do with Williams and froze him out at 147 because he knew he would work his fighters. Just another example of what a POS snake Arum is.:-(
PW output will bother Cotto. Cotto could get some good shots in since PW can be kinda sloppy. Good fight. PW UD
Arum has been in the center of every single ****-up in negotiations lately... Williams-Margo, Williams-Pav, Floyd-Pac...
Froze him out? Yeah...because Arum promotes Berto, Mosley, AND Mayweather too. Or does he spromote Cintron now too? Cotto was busy...simple as that. Williams and Goosen have ALWAYS had plenty of options. They just seem to act like they want only BIG MONEY fights to cash out or something.
See other thread. You know damn well Shane was never an option. Paul tried like hell to get a fight with him, Floyd, Zab, and even Cintron back then.
All the while turning away challenges from Allen Greeen (don't say too big...Williams challenged Hopkins at 170 remember), Kirkland, and Dzinzurik. Especially with Kirkland, he said he was TOO UNKNOWN. Talk about the irony! He needs to know just becauzse you WANT the best doesn't mean you'll get the best. Frigging clear out the division if no one will fight you. HIs jumping around 147 to 160 may have gotten him exposure, but it did **** for ranking him and making him a mandatory.
C'mon man... He never turned down Dzin ever!!! And I don't really recall him ever turning down Kirkland.:huh You really gonna hold him responsible for Allan Green? I think you are making too many excuses for the champs at 147. Margo, Shane, Floyd, Cotto could have all fought him, and he never would even moved up to 154 and 160... He has been actively seeking fights with them for the longest...
I don't think he did either. But he did call williams out when williams was saying no one would fight him. Probably never went further then that. James Kirkland called him out too. His response whar Kirkland was too unknown. And Williams was looking at gbigger and better I think. If he can fight Hops at 170, why not Allen Green? Dude, I'm not making any excuses. Most of those guys were busy with other fighters. Williams was the odd man out, but it's not like they all fought scrubs instead of Williams.
