Well the equivalent would have to be roughly 40-1 odds, and ripple the entire sports world, not just boxing fans. So not likely to happen. Pacquiao or Mayweather losing at this point would probably send the biggest shockwaves.
It was a shock at the time Douglas was not a bad fighter but he was lazy.He had fought for the IBF title once before losing to Tucker.I think something like Audley beating Haye would be about the same.Its unlikley but not out of the question.
It would shock quite a few HW boxing fans but wouldn't shock the world. For the record, Wlad likely would KO Arreola IMO, but hardly impossible that Arreola wins by KO. Yeah I think the only thing that would be equivalent would be if Mayweather or Pacquiao got KO'd by a relative unknown, then it leaked out their life was falling apart and they weren't training much.
Mayweather or Pacquiao losing to a "no-hoper". I'm not talking Manny losing to a Margarito or Clottey, or even Mayweather losing to Baldomir, Gatti, or Mitchell. It's way beyond that. Douglas, despite actually being a pretty talented fighter, was a 42 to 1 underdog.
