At the end of the day, HBO wouldn't want to hurt either business relationship. Especially Floyd's when he's done better since he came back and overall since fighting PPV for HBo. Interesting to see what happens. The LAST thing HBO wants to happen is GBP and Mayweather fighting exclusively for Showtime. I can guarantee that..

I agree. But if you're the CEO of HBO, somebody even hints that you're lying, you come out and prove that you're not.

And as for going to showtime? If GBP and Floyd say "**** you" to HBO, and knock on Showtimes door, do you think they're going to get the same money as they're getting now on HBO? Of course not. Somebody with a brain will say "so, you've publically said you're not going with HBO? Awesome. We'll pay you $10,000 for the rights. Who else you gonna go to?"

Those guys can't afford to alienate HBO. No matter how pissed off they are.

HBO will just manufacture some more careers for boxers that are happy to go on their network.

Yes, it is Greenburg who should call the shots. And it is about time for Ross to be doing something like this, that somehow lessens the impression that Haymon pulls his strings for whatever reason.

What, Floyd will fight exclusively for Showtime? That's the last thing Floyd will do. As of last reckoning it's HBO with the biggest boxing budget. It's just funny to read forum posts "threatening" for Floyd to bolt HBO, as if Greenburg will tremble at the thought. As I've said, it's about time Ross cleared the air on who's beholden to who.
