say what you want about him but he really is. this a guy with virtually no boxing skill who is willing to take on anyone out there. plus he fights in a fan friendly way. he went to denmark fighting to fight mikkel kessler, a guy who has never even been floored let alon come close to being stopped. and went to america to defend vs taylor. he won the belt against undefeated prospect pascal, and signed for the super 6 when he is seen by quite a few as one of the worst boxers in the tourney. it is amazing to consider you have a man with no skill, who will fight anyone, in a climate where boxers like donaire, floyd, haye, bradley, khan and many other "champs" are just not fighting the best in their divisions, even though all those on the list are vastly more skilled than froch himself. i mean nonito donaire for example, he has somehow found himself in the p4p list and is just unwilling to fight anyone of note. floyd has turned down a fight with pacman, haye has turned down fights with the klitschkos and many more out there wont fight the best. yet froch, a man who wins through willpower and punch resistance, is fighting everyone he can to secure his legacy. you might not like him, you think he is a brutal knockout waiting to happen, but you gotta admire his heart and fighting spirit.
Good post. I wish more fighters out there were that way. Although, I don't like the way he has acted since the Kessler fight.
I have a huge amount of respect for him. Gotta take your hat off to his bravery and heart. I just wish he wasn't such a moany *****. He'd be one of my favourite fighters if he wasn't like that.
His fighting spirit, bravery and balls are indeed admirable, the real shame is that they stem from his stupidity and egocentric/tistic mindset.
agree +1 A lot of fighters are like this, until they win a bet or get to the top. Then start beoming cherry picker. He's maintained it since winning his belt.
he did over do it after the kessler fight. it was a close fight, and they usually go to home town fighters. if they had fought in nottingham, it probably would have gone his way, as the dirrell fight did. he should have given kessler more credit. hoepfully they will rematch in the semis.
Froch has more skills than people give him credit for. He has a great jab, good uppercut and a strong left hook. He also has power in both hands. He is a decent boxer, although he takes too many punches and is a bit of a cocky twat.
