Oscar "won" a belt off Sturm before that fight. He would've stripped himself of his own title had he beaten Hopkins?
I used to be a DLH fan... but now,,, To quote Norman Stone: "What a piece of **** you turned out to be!!!"
a lot of people dislike him for his handling of GBP, and in a lot of ways i agree. or his fishnet pix i dunno
You will probably get an answer,,,will it be an educated one on the question you ask...That i highly doubt.
Paclanders hate De la Hoya for the same reason they hate anyone who has crossed path with Manny Pacquiao He is not the golden child, born in god's image, and makes no effort to recognise Pacquiao as the greatest fighter of all time, and so must be attacked............. These guys were laying into Hatton and his trainers when they were fighting. Hardly any of it is based on what they've done. Just pure obsession. Like Backstreet Boy fans getting upset as someone said ****** Timberlake is a better dancer.
Oscar fought in 6 divisions, and always faced the very best in every one he fought at. He won a legit world title at 160, and then had the first catchweight of his career, after he'd already won a title there. And only because the guy was the most dominant 160 fighter of the era. Sorry, it's a bit different Pacquiao consistently taking on the weakest opponent he can find at a weight, and still demanding catchweights. If you aren't brave enough to face grade B fighters like Cotto at 147, you shouldn't even be there. The same with Margarito! A guy who's never won a major bout at 154 himself. Let alone a world title. If you can't handle that, and need catchweights to pick up cheap belts, then move on. Granted, Oscar had one at 160, but he was also facing the PFP number 1 fighter in the world. Not Margarito Oscar won 6 real world titles, at 6 real weights. Beating the best guys at every one. Pac's just cheating his way into the record books. At least 3 of his weight divisions are quesitonable at best
I'm telling you, the moment the dude became a promoter, he joined the Dark Side.. This content is protected
