I always appreciated Froch for being willing to travel and defend away. I like him, but he frustrates me to watch, still I was a bit disappointed with his comments after losing to Kessler and about fighting Abraham in Germany when saying he could fight him in London because hes from Nottingham and that would be neutral, but still in all fairness he and Abraham are both fighting away next and Froch has been a credit
To the people calling froch a hype job, wouldnt make his heart all the more impressive? a hype job willing to fight the best. to say he is a "hype job" i dont think anyone ranks froch at #1 in the smw division.
The only thing Carl Froch has brought to the world stage is his Girlfriend. So i guess we can't complain
Here's a post I made back on June 24th. You could turn this post on its head, and say that without Froch there would be no Super Six. - Here's a link to the thread. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=235666&highlight=14+seconds
disagree with this completely its not in his nature to go down that route, i see Froch with the money and fame still wanting to take on the best and prove himself.
as cool as your avatar actually is, i am gonna have to disagree with you. i have watched froch for a long time, his two main attributes are his chin and his power. he has a great warrior mentality and seems to be able to take multiple flush shots in the way mayorga used to back in his prime. but he is a brawler, he has skills compared to journeymen or maybe even prospects. but on the world scene his skills are not there. look at the super 6. dirrell ward AA Kessler Green Froch that is how i rate them in terms of skill. he is less skillful also then bute. probably on a par with andrade and stieglitz in terms of skill. froch has really impressed me with his career to date, and i defy anyone to watch his war in the danish outskirts with kessler to not come away admiring his heart. but skills, he just dont got them.
very good post. I'm no fan of the cobra but he is a credit to the sport, he goes about things the right way and although he talks out of his arse at times, he is wants to fight the best guys out there. he truly believes he's the best fighter in the division, and he's willing to stand and trade with anyone.
Would have agreed 100% if he had taken his loss to Kessler with some dignity instead of whinging about hometown decisions and volcanoes. I have to say I lost respect for him after that, especially because he had an even more dubious hometown decision in his favour in the previous fight. People say he's cocky and talentless, but he's prepared to back up everything he says and get in the ring with anybody. You can't fault him for that. Like I said, I just wish he'd lost graciously to Kessler because then you really couldn't fault him.
i dont think anyone has mentioned pacman in this thread? it is about carl froch, think you got lost there son.
I wish there were more like him. I pefer fighters with a highly skilled slick, fast style but they are rarely involved in the toe-to-toe battles that Froch was involved in with Kessler and Pascal. His fights are usually very exciting and he will take on anybody.
