Marquez was a great talent, but his resume doesn't even stack up to Barrera's or Morales....so let's forget Ali.

JMM is a great fighter, and a treat to watch. The thing i enjoy watching about him the most is when he gets stung and wobbles his natural reaction is to throw more punches at his opponent instead of covering up and is alwyas entertaining. GOAT? nah. but definetly a great fighter he deserves appreciation from all fans

not g.o.a.t but not far from it, many would say he is not comparable to eric, marco but lets not forget that boxing is all about the money and will shadow many great boxers if it means money, example would be pac vs margarito, we all know pac could face better boxers but would mean less $ so they wont get a chance, I believe marquez was shadowed for a while but showed every one he is a great boxer. def a future hall of famer

Juan Manuel Marquez is the most overrated boxer of all-time, it's not even funny. Some people are so convinced that Juan Manuel Marquez is the greatest thing since sliced bread, I'd be willing to bet that even after Diaz beats the crap out of Marquez next Saturday night, these people will still be saying that Marquez is the greatest boxer of all-time!

In reality, Bernard Hopkins is a greater boxer all-time than Juan Manuel Marquez. If you even try to disagree with that, you are biased.

Massive weight disadvantage.. DOnt worry, Pac would lose even worse..

    That plus MArquez' age..

Marquez is greater than Olivares, i have no doubt about that.. He belongs in the same sentence as Sanchez.
