I too think there's a good chance of this. Floyd has always wanted to fight in the UK, and no one in the UK will generate more interest than Khan. He'll also have a fairly easy night too.

But it will of course depend on how Khan looks against the best of his own division. Beating Bradley and Alexander is alot to ask for (especially against the latter).

Yep he needs to keep working on that defence, I am sure Roach knows this also as it is the key for Khan to reach the top. But you know I think Roach is doing a great job so far Khan is taking his time, doing the right things, he is coming together nice.

I think because of these new factors Khan made the Paulie fight look so easy and one sided, an old pre-Roach Khan would of made hard work of that.

Here is the thing about Floyd, he has a lot going for him. Amazing conditioning, dedication, hand speed, natural athleticism, agility and hand speed.

But, the three biggest things he has working for him are:

    1. Amazing defense - This will fade as he ages and speed and ability slip, but he will still be better than average into his early 40's I would guess.

    2. Ring Generalship - Floyd makes you fight his fight. I've seen some rounds where he wasn't dictating the fight, but not many.

    3. Ability to adjust on the fly - This is the reason Floyd is so successful. Ring smarts and how to counter the opposition. He recognizes when something is a problem, makes the adjustment and overcomes the opponent.

The other fighter that comes to mind with those same 3 strengths is Bernard Hopkins. B-Hop has great defense, is a clever tactician and due to supreme conditioning and ring experience, is able to adjust and outlast and beat opponents.

B-Hop has a lot of heart and Floyd is a chicken.

But, Floyd has more hand speed, fluidity is his style and gets hit less than Bernard. If Floyd stays in great condition and keeps fighting better than average fighters, I can see him staying in the top P4P rankings as long as B-Hop has.

As for Kahn, or anyone else for that matter, if you are going to beat Floyd you need more than one set of tools. Plan A, Plan B and Plan C...you need to be able to switch between them quickly, you need tremendous conditioning and you need to get lucky.

Some things have worked against him, but only for a moment. The only man out there I think who has any chance of beating Floyd, if Pac Man. He also adjusts well, has quick lateral movement, hand speed, conditioning and power. He also has great ring experience.

Kahn is a baby in comparison of experience, and I have not seen him use more than one set of tools yet. But, anything is possible and I'd watch Kahn vs. Mayweather if it happened, but I would bet on Floyd all day.

  4. Khan will never ever be a top guy in any division. You need a chin for that.

Really. The same B-Hop who was flopping around and crying like a baby from Phantom low blows from Calzaghe? The same B-Hop that was acting like a lil b***ch in the RJ fight. When the going gets tough, B-Hop acts like a *****.

Say what you will about Mayweather, but the few times he's been in tough situations, he kept his composure and fought like a man.

  8. If Khan and Mayweather ever fought and the going got tough for Floyd, all he'd have to do is look for the knockout. He'd probably get it. Khan's chin is garbage or as the Mexicans say "bazoora".

I agree most of the above, but remember a fighter can look/fight his age in a fight.

When raw speed(faster than Floyd's) from a safe distance, is exchanging the factors change fast, speed cancels all skill/reaction time/natural now aging defence over night.

Faster hand than Floyd's + stamina to output that over 12 rounds, and Khan style for me will give Floyd new problems.

Note with fast handspeed Zab outboxed/gave problems Floyd for a few rounds, but Zab started to gas and could not keep the workrate up, Khan for me who has the fastest hand speed ant gasing for ****.

Floyd's ring IQ is off the chain. I could see 36/37.

Khan hasn't even beat a real threat at 140 yet, so why worry about a fight with Floyd? Floyd will be retired by the time Khan is done "cleaning" up 140 with the rate he's going at. khan is going to take at least 2 years to "clean" 140, assuming he'll be the one to do it and doesn't get knocked out by whoever at 140. Floyd will be 36 and retired by then.

look dude, it doesn't matter if it's 2 years or 10 years Khan will never be at that level. He's a glass jawed fraud and it will take a miracle to get him in their with any kind of determined puncher, let alone Floyd.

OK, I'm with you. I think Kahn has good hand speed that might trouble Floyd.

What I'm saying is, my guess is that Floyd will let Kahn throw, successfully evade 98% of the punches, then counter and move to neutralize the superior speed.

How do you see Kahn beating the shoulder roll/counter right hand?

As for conditioning, Floyd is in very good condition, so I can't see Kahn wearing him down. It will be important for Kahn to keep up the pressure though.

Fight on the inside where handspeed doesn't come into play as much. This is what old man Bernard Hopkins did. Floyd is a great in fighter while freddie roach pupils don't know how to fight inside.
