Even so.....Marg lost to Shane after a HUGE situation that in my opinion affected Marg mentally. Having to go into the fight knowing he could be facing potential jail time for what he was accused of had to affect him in some way....couple that with Shane being the most active and aggressive than we've seen from him in years produced the one sided beat down of Marg where only ONE thing was answered.....Marg has got a GRANITE chin!

to me if it did affect him mentally then it shows that he was actually aware that he was cheating and that he was only as good as his rocks.

None of these guys fought in the four belt era. Generally, these days, fighters are better off jumping around to actually face the top guys instead of being bogged down by mandatories.

 

still blaming margos wraps as the reason why he got ktfo is a ridiculous statement, he may have been affected. he could have still carried on in that fight against shane but he would have been on weary legs and been pointless because he would have more of the same from shane and so the fight was stopped.

fact is fact that pacman is still fighting against a fighter who got ktfo in his last but one fight.

I'm not discrediting the win i agreed with him that Margarito must have been affeted because he got caught

 

Most think he was aware of his actions....I'm not 100% sold on that due to the lack of evidence and the light sentence for Tony. Had there been solid evidence Criminal charges would have been brought up by the state and a life time ban would have been implemented. I'm not discrediting Shane's win....i picked him to win a UD.. But I was VERY surprised about what took place and how Shane dominated. But you look at Shane's win over Mayorga and shane's performance with Marg and you can see why MOST felt Marg was teh fav.

 

I'm not blaming the KO and the one sided beat down b/c of the wraps! I'm blaming that on Shane's TWO FISTS! Marg was fed a healthy amount of leather by way of Shane and he got the job done. But I think Marg was mentally affected...the same way Tito was for the Nard fight.

The outcome would have been the same! A win for Shane and a win for nard but I do think their performances would have been more competitive.

Mental warfare is part of the game and it's ALWYAS an advantage for the one who has the upperhand mentally. Boxing is 75% mental and 25% physical.

Sure...I acknowldege that PAC is fighting Marg who was Knocked out two fights before by Shane.

But I also acknowlege that PAC is actually FIGHTING! Where Floyd is on vacation after turning down the fight with the guy who is being accused of fighting only guys who lost or got KO'd before.:rofl

well......Marg wasn't ever caught with rocks or anything close. Matter of fact those who felt the pads said there was nothing hard about them....jsut dried and a little stiff which sweat can do b/c of the salt in sweat.

All they really had was a single ELEMENT that is found in Plaster of Paris that they found on the old kuckel pad. But that one single element is found in common every day lotions as well as other products common to boxers.

And of course we can only go on facts.....But we can always have opinions on what could have been as well.

But based on Facts.......Manny wins...WINS BIG against Top level guys and has the best resume in the last 20 yrs with regards to the substance and depth of his ledger.:good

 

only if you negate how vunerable his opponents were, ktfo at their weakest and past their prime with a majority of them losing their fights before meeting pac.

7 weight divisions is a good acheivement PEDS or not

with facts alot of negative truths come about, with every fighter.
