Not picking on you, but what????

Kelley had the boxing world at his feet, a seemingly could not miss Superstar after the Vargas fight.

Sure he was sometimes very entertaining, not least against Naseem, but he was never quite the same post Gonzales IMO.

A bit mainstream cliche, the Robinson fights were better performances and fights.;)

:twisted:respectfully disagree. it's splitting hairs with the human highlight reel but gatti/ward 1 was his opus to violence. the robinson, patterson, ruelas fights were brilliant...but round 9 is the best round in boxing history and seals the deal

Come on, Arturo and Micky were brave performers and not without ability, and their styles meshed famously to give us the excellent first fight and mighty fine second and third fights, but they lacked the class to have a single round of brilliance of say the level of Hagler and Hearns.

Gatti will be most remembered for the first Ward fight...I don't see how anyone could debate otherwise.

Best remembered yes, but his finest moment was in defeat to Ivan Robinson in their first fight, IMO.

    I think that's debatable.

Which is why we are doing so! Gatti looked a class act and was a darling of the boxing media until the Manfredy fight. He was disregarded as a spent force, but Gatti redeemed his reputation in defeat against Robinson.
