Be realistic. If half blind, hepitiis infected Chagaev can get himself back in the picture, if a never was like Timur Ibragimov can climb into contention, if a guy like Haye who is terrified of fighting can hold a belt, and an aging amatuer like Audley Harrison can get within a stone's throw of a shot at him, if SNV can be a sought after commodity, if fat boys like Solis and Ustinov can be contenders, then certainly a talented guy like Johnson can get back in the picture. And seriously, I don't mean to disrespect any of these guys- I am no keyboard warrior. These guys all work hard (accept for Solis and Ustinov) and some of them were once quite good. But really, the division, after briefly looking like it was going to pick up, has fallen down as low as ever.
Maybe you see it fit to scrape the bottom of the barrel and believe that these fat, old, past-it, or never-were guys have a glimmer of hope at gaining glory. I feel its better to close the book on them and look to the future. The division is certainly lower than ever if people are looking to guys like Kirk Johnson and Chauncy Welliver to liven up the division.
I keep tabs on a lot of the older heavyweights myself. I'm under no illusions about their chances but I don't see the problem in wishing them well and hoping they succeed.
I was a fan intil he should of for the VIT fight like a whale like 266 some****. Just showed what a ****ing joke he was
