    Seriousness....wow

Tennis is controlled by its own governing body, the ATP. They play on a tour, Nadal and Federer could realistically play each other every tournament they're in together. I'm sure if you asked either of them they would rather the other was knocked out early in a tournament so winning the title would be easier for them. They don't have control over tv rights or prize money or anything at a tournament so, again, ridiculous comparison.

I think you're missing the point. It wasn't a comparison, he was showing the contrast between boxing and another sport.

He was saying the best thing about tennis would be that we get to see the 2 best stars compete against each other without months/years of crappy negotiations. They play in regular tournaments and tennis fans get to see who is best.

Boxing is shite because it doesn't have a single governing body in charge, so this guy claims to be the world champion, and this other guy claims to be world champion, and this places puts one of em at #1 P4P, and another puts the other at #1 P4P, and both champs claim they want the fight, and neither of them goes for it and so on till we're bored to death by the whole thing.

And there's lots of comparisons between the two sports as well, but i wont go into them now.

its only ridiclious because the set up of boxing is so ludicrous. thats the point I am making.

in terms of the actual sport, tennis is the closest thing to boxing thats not a combat sport.

unless I am wrong, in which case i will wait for another lecture that starts with a made up word

    :think

what made up word did i use?

i'm not talking about the comparison between the sports on a physical level, i just think its stupid to even compare boxing because it is completely different to most other sports, always has been and probably always will be in terms of the way its governed. its frustrating yes but its been this way certainly all of my lifetime and there's nothing gonna change anytime soon.
