Vitali may get ripped for taking this fight but Briggs has been shouting for it for a long time and who else can Vitali fight?! David Haye apart there is nobody. Adamek is busy and even his limitations at heavy were shown in his last fight.

Briggs is a puncher so it'll be interesting while it lasts. Vitali may just get old overnight! I doubt it though...Vitali in 6.

Valuev didn't turn the fight down. He wanted more money and a fairer contract. Same reasons as most people who will fight the Klits.

Rob, I agree, I would probably settle for Boystov, who has fought no one but is at least fresh and would probably give it a go.

Briggs size, speed and power could cause some scares ala Lewis but I would expect Vitali to ride the wave and come through with a stoppage. Briggs is 38 and not 26 plus he is 266 pounds not 228 pounds. Briggs has some more experience though but anything could happen.

Valuev was offered $1.5m and turned it down...so he did turn it down!

His expalanation that $1.5m wasn't enough to pay his promoters and himself doesn't really matter. He was offered the fight and said no. He said he doesn't want a Haye rematch so nowhere else will he get nearly that amount of money.

Yet another example of why the heavyweight division is a pile of shite and further proof of why neither of the Klitchkos can claim any decent credibility of being great heavyweights.

This is an even worse match up than Haye vs Audely AND Wlad vs Peters...

    I've met Briggs.

He has the biggest head I've ever seen.

To be honest, my only interest in this fight is to see if his head has got any bigger.

they wernt jsut beat. Austin was destroyed in 2 rounds a thompson got jabbed in the face and fell over. Briggs is better opponent that either.
