I don't ever want to hear any of you whining about there being too many weight divisions in boxing ever again.

    Bloody hypocrites.

huh, fewer weight divisions would made catchweights less used....

using a catchweight is like adding more divisions in an already thin talent pool

It makes unnatural fights and *******izes boxing. Fact. I don't see how fewer weight divisions would lessen the mount of catchweights. But if that would be the case, it's yet another reason why there should be less weight divisions.

yeah, i agree on that point, and i must have misunderstood your point

personally, some of the lower divisions are WAY to close, like 4 pound spreads

anyway, my beef with the pac/margo weight is more about the WBC than pac

but i think it makes pac look bad

I still haven't read anything in any major new sources mentioning anything about a catchweight. Are we SURE there's going to be a catchweight? I remember there was a bunch of talk about the Clottey fight being at a catchweight too, but it turned out not to be the case.

shouldnt be this way....for the vacant 154LB SUPER WW TITLE THIS SHOULD BE FOUGHT AT 154...

I GUESS U CAN MOVE UP TO 154.1 AND WIN THE 160LB TITLE IF U CAN FIND A CHAMP TO MAKE THE WEIGHT OR JUST A CORRUPT DEAL FOR A PHONY VACANT BELT JUST TO GET IN ON THE ACTION

yea.it's been all over the scene that they plan on asking for a catchweight.

take your complaint up with the sanctioning body that's tripping over itself to offer up their title.

You could hold a fight for the LHW Championship at 147 if you wanted. Will it ever happen? No, but it could.

If both fighters agreed nothing wrong with that.

And there are too many weight divisions in the sport for the purpose only to make more money for the Belt sanctions.

Id like to see a stop to these catch weight fights, its bad enough guys moving up and down between divisions trying to get as many belts as poss without adding to it with pointless catch weight fights.

Sugar Ray Leonard won the WBC light heavyweight title (at the same time a WBC super middle belt too) fighting at 165 against the light heavy champ Lalonde who was 167, so you don't even have to fight within a weight class to win a title it seems.

This is a deal along as we don't hear any of the people who don't think a title match should be at a catchweight complaining about 'phony alphabet sanctioning bodies' ever again.

    Bloody hypocrites, etc.

I hate catchweights fullstop. The fact it's a title fight is irrelevant.
