prime Holmes vs Vitali

Interesting to compare the two, as you could use Lewis/Vitali as a similar link, but Holmes,TKO/points but nonetheless it would have been very interesting probably a classic.................

 

That's a good observation. Cutting is maybe Vitaly's only weaker point.

 

Holmes couldn't KO the LHW Spinks, in fact he lost to him twice, yet many believe he could KO Vitali Klitschko. Absurdity at its most exaggerated level. I think Klitschko would win by late TKO or decision.

 

Spinks was ludicrously skilled, and a totally different fighter to Vitali on so many levels it's ridiculous. I don't think Holmes KOs Vitali either, no way. But to state that he couldn't KO a lhw as good as Holmes as your logic for him not being able to stop Vitali is......well, crap.

Holmes had clearly lost a step in this fight and had already made a ton of title defenses. Also Spinks had a totally opposite style than vitali,he was very fast at hw and awkward. This is a bad comparison as to how a Prime Holmes would do against Vitali.

The people picking Vitali by KO know absolutely nothing about boxing. Nothing.

 

Prime Holmes stops Vitali over 15 rounds.
any pre 1993 version of Holmes decisions Vitali over 12 rounds.

Vitali is a good HW. He should have that. But Holmes is one of the very best ever.
