Mayweather isn't ducking Pacquaio. He's just lazy.

    And I'm saying this as a self-admitted *******.

Mayweather's got a lot of money apparently and he only wants to fight once a year. That's fine. He trains hard and fights take a toll. He's near the end of his career and doesn't want to beat himself up.

The fight with Pacquaio will be there next year and buys will be higher for a May PPV as opposed to a Nov PPV. He's just not going to come out and say it. He's just relaxing and enjoying his time-off. Otherwise, he'd take some tune-up fight against a bum like Matthew Hatton and still make money.

He doesn't want to fight until next year. I always see people talking about Mayweather cares only about his 0 or his legacy. No he doesn't. He cares about money, first and foremost. He'll only care about the 0 in terms of his own marketing, which goes back to his money. And him turning down a Pacquiao fight outright makes no sense at all. The fact that he was willing to compromise on drug-testing initially is proof. Not to mention that he wanted more money in the second negotiations.

Plus, he would beat Pacquiao, as he's already said. On paper, he has every advantage over him and when he starts thinking and talking about boxing again, he'll stand by those words (Pacquiao has no skill, etc.) and most likely back them up.

Again, I'll be rooting for Pac when the fight comes off. Mayweather just doesn't feel like fighting again this year. Besides, he doesn't have any other options, since a Martinez fight poses just as much of a threat to his precious alleged legacy.

This is about money and always will be about money. I can't believe how many people overlook this. These guys are risking their lives every time they step into the ring. They've gotta look out for themselves, not the fans.

Rogers facing jail time, the fight will be more lucrative in may.

Don't spend time making threads in his defense. You look just as bad as Floyd himself.

I agree mostly, I just think that he didn't much wanted a piece of Pac before Clottey. Maybe he's waiting for Pac to decline somewhat... I don't know but something tells me that this fight will be easier for Floyd next year.

I agree. It's pretty obvious. Floyd is simply taking some time off and the fight will happen next year. Pac fans and idiots will only realize this once the fight is signed next year. Until then they will be in 7th heaven thinking Floyd "ducked" Pac. It's pretty ridiculous but you can't fix stupid.

I would be very surpised if the fight doesn't come off next May. I think May is it.

Where's the ***** playing the "he's saying black people are lazy" race card? I figured that would be the first response.

Big money fight next May. I'll buy it hoping May get KTFO, but know the smart money is on him.

Fights take a toll? Cry me a rvier. Mayweather barely gets hit . How the hell is that takin a toll? He had one easy fight with Marquez, and he took about two punches from Mosley. Now he needs another 1-2 years off right when the Pacquiao fight is primed to happen? Lets not forget he did the same thing back in 2007 when the welterweight divison was stacked.

**** off with this ****. Stop defending this POS. What makes you think he's going to fight Pac next year? You really think he's gonna step into the ring with Pac on a year lay off? It'll be another excuse. Plus he knows Pac has about 1 or 2 fights left in him, he can wait him out.

What some people don't realize is Floyd has already made over $60 million this year. He figures that's already lucrative so why not wait next yr to fight Pac, earn another $60 mil, and take the rest of the yr off again? Besides, he's already contributed to the sport in a huge way by generating over 1 mil PPV sales last May. You add this with other small factors such as Arum's nuisance, Roger's trial, etc. and it's pretty clear as to why Floyd isn't fighting again in November. Why do people not see this? Instead they're blinded by their greed.
