What the **** does that guy know about boxing? He looks like a guy that can't "fight" to save his life. He may be able to lay on top of a man with no shirt on, but as far as straight up "fighting" is concerend, don't think so.
I want to see these 2 guys in their own countdown video. Toney for his mouth and Couture for his training. I'd enjoy it.
If by predicting Couture to win that makes one biased then I suppose so. We all have to make a pick and the smart money is on Couture.
Boy oh boy will MMA fans hear it from James if he does win this fight in Aug.:rofl I think he'll end up losing but he'll make a great account of himself I"m sure of it. But if James wins......:-lol:
If Toney KO's Couture - MMA fans will never hear the end of it! I think it will be a fascinating fight no matter who wins.
No everybody is picking couture except me and a few hope-blinded others.. but he said some things that are simply not true.. like that randy has a chance of knocking him out because he has beaten up a who's who list with his hands, etc.
That's a complete misinterpretation of the video. Actually it is stated in the video that Randy's ground and pound is effective because he has stopped a lot of fighters in the past - but that he will not stop James Toney with punches. The prediction was for a submission via choke.
I just dont see how people can think Toney will give a good account of himself but lose. I only see either a total domination from start to finish by Randy or a super fast KO by Toney. How is Toney possibly going to look good and lose in this fight?
This is stupid. Put Randy in Toney's game, Randy get's KO'd in one round. Put Toney in Randy's game, Toney gets choked out in one round. This proves nothing.
The exchanges in this fight are going to happen on such a high technical level from both sides that the first one to make a mistake will pay for it dearly. When two hall of fame (or future HoF) fighters meet, the results should be fascinating as pure spectacle and a display of advanced technical prowess. The fight will be well worth watching for fight fans for no matter how long it lasts.
