Danny Green forced to fend off claims from Paul Briggs camp

just to clarify I thought it was you that posted it up on Youtube under thezelke that brought it to a wider audience and not zelke who placed it on a private forum, i got no idea but that is how i remember it correct me if i am wrong

 

Great post. This point is the most important, does anyone really believe Green knew how bad Briggs condition was before the fight?
Sure he wanted an easy fight for good money, and that was what Briggs brought with so much time off.
If Green truly knew how bad Briggs was, would he really have been concerned about Briggs coming in heavy? I don't think so. He was, as he didn't want Briggs to gain any advantage - which is how someone would be thinking when assuming their opponent was going to come in in decent shape.

How anyone can say good on Briggs for all of this is sickening. Anyone has a choice on whether they want to work or not if they are desperate for money and it doesn't mean taking a fight you aren't capable of and taking a dive in the process.
Sure Green deserves a bit of a back lash, it's about time he took on someone decent, nothing excuses either Brigg's actions or his corner for this one though.

i rekon he looked bad the moment he pulled out his mobile phone and betrayed the trust of those around him. The leak Billy Hussein speaks of is the footage on Zelkys phone, i dont think he has leaked it to make himself look bad, more so to inflate his ego however he has also betrayed those who trust him in doing so!

 

The difference is massive. Regardless of outcome, the premise is that Briggs trained hard, trained to win and put his balls on the line, of course the reality was very different.

As far as I'm concerned the green camp knew no better. Yes, they were weak for not getting a better challenger, shame on them in reality for suggsting Briggs, but I don't believe for a second they didn't expect him to gve it his all.
If you don't see a fundemental difference between him going for broke (yep,
the same guy who went hammer and tongs with adamek a few fights back)
then any explanation won't convince you. This all comes down to whether the green camp had any reason to doubt he didn't go in there with a total comitment to win.
Like everyone else, seeing briggsy going out on his shield would have been so much easier to take than the debacle we witnessed, which was a dive of the lowest order.
I still can't believe people are supporting briggs for his effort here. In time things will likely heal but for now it should be remembered as a disgrace of the highest order

 

Briggs will be ok, look at aNdrew Johns, he's back working on ch9 without a boo only after 6wks from original controversy........... than there's he's brother and Warnie, Kyle sanderilands etc etc............. Briggsy will be looked ok in history dont worry, aussie public pretty forgiving.

Are you that ****ing stupid that you can't see how a guy who is struggling to pay his rent is not gonna turn down an offer for $200000 to take a fight where he can and did take a dive without taking any damage? Yeah it's shitty for the fans who paid for the fight but if anybody in Oz boxing deserved a handout it is Paul Briggs.
Can you not see that Danny Green created the situation? He is responsible, he has the money to fight anyone he wants.

This argument just doesn't cut it. The NSW Combat Authority knocked the fight back. I'd say the Green camp had fair warning that there were issues

What's your thoughts on those closest to Briggs wearing a little. It's unbelievable Briggs team weren't having doubts about Briggs ability, physical, mental and financial situation.
