What a strange ending to Groves-Galán. :blood

Groves landed a cracking 1-2 (even the jab was booming loud as it hit Galán's chin ) but the referee stepped in right as Galán was standing there clear-eyed and shaking off the combo. Edit: it was more of a hook than a jab that started it.

Round 1

Gomez starts out cautiously, jabbing from behind a wide sideways stance. Peterson is using a lot of shoulder movement, backing off. Gomez comes forward with a hard hook that Peterson is able to slip. Gomez drives his jab forward and leaves it sticking out, almost spearing Peterson's belly and forcing him back to the ropes before Gomez tries to get him with some harder shots to the body. Uppercut to the face and double hook to the body from Gomez after switching stance and Peterson has fallen (to a knee) and can't get up!
