No ****, especially when you were looking at what Pirog was doing leading up that shot, he was all over the ****ing place moving forward, that is when Jacobs should have been slipping around, not throwing lazy shots and letting a guy tee off on you.

If he isn't doing things like that naturally at this point, he probably won't learn it.

Why did you back him to win if you didn't rate him? Did you think Pirog was ****? Smacks of typical revisionism.

Pirog is going to be the most oerrated fighter on this forum, and that is saying something.

I'm not impressed with him at all.

I think there are some Russians at this bar, time to go bring back Americas pride.

Jacob's always had a few flaws, but again when you hype a young guy, it's because of potential for improvement.. It's obvious Jacobs hasn't really improved, but early on he had quite a bit of potential.

That stoppage reminded me of a fight I saw a year or 2 ago, maybe an ESPN card where an undefeated prospect got dropped, laid on the ground like corpse, the ref waved it off. He jumped up furiously in protest, and it was clear he was somewhat dramatizing the knockdown. However, in doing that he took the gamble of the ref stopping the fight thinking he was in now way able to continue. I do see that Jacobs did not mention any thing like that in his post KTFO interview...

As an American let me say this. There is a difference between the European and the American level of boxing. The European level is clearly superior though there are a few decent American fighters like Ward.

Jacobs is not ready. Pavlik would smash him too. He lacks skills. He got athleticism and power, but he lacks skills.

He needs to reevaluate his career.
