I actually think Marquez looked normal. Just because he's not in a war every two seconds doesn't mean he's slowed or gassed. He knew he had the fight won, Diaz was using a lot of movement and distance which Marquez doesn't work as well with by far, and he was taking his time picking his shots and landing almost at will when in range. This is a picture perfect example of Marquez's style before the Pacquiao fights brought out the warrior in him. If it's not a war, he's not going to make it one.

I actually thought he looked quite quick slipping and ducking out of the way with class.

Dont really find your remarks funny, you can sit behind a computer and get away with saying stuff like that, if you said that to me face to face you wont be smiling trust me.

Khan was a warrior the day he was born.

Of course he's going to look slow. No fighter would ever be the same after the type of beating Money gave him.

When Khan was born the doctor tapped him on the chin to make him cry and Khan passed out.

No. Marquez is no longer in the same level as Pac. He's quite slow in 135, how much more in 140. Pac will brutally KO him in 3rd at 140 weight class.

He did seem to lose a bit. Maybe this was a tune up fight. Idk. All I know is that I didn't see the old JMM in the right tonight. Hopefully we'll see the real JMM int he ring next fight. I don't see him giving Pacman another close fight though.

he wasn't that slow. he paced himself.

he was raining his usual 4-5 punch combos on diaz.

but i noticed he slowed down a bit by the last 2 rounds. but it may be due to the fact that he's aware that he's way ahead on the scorecards and was just coasting enroute to an easy ud...

but jmm is not totally spent yet.. there's still something left in him for sure..

  11. U need to stop smoking opium. Khan a warrior? That has to be a joke. If he didn't have the chin or a new born baby girl he might be one, but he doesnt so he's not. The so-called boxing "superstars" from the UK are a joke. Khan is a joke and so is David Haye. On this side of the pond, you have to walk the walk if youre gonna talk the talk because talk is very cheap.

    ummm
hes 2 weeks away from being 37...which is pretty unheard of for a fighter of his weight.....hes 2 weight divisions above what he fought at for 13 years.... hes a freak at his age...but will get his ass handed to him by most everyone at 140 who has a belt....thats pretty obvious

I can def see why team pac wouldnt be rushing in for a fight with JMM, and its not because they are scared of losing.

would i like it more then a freaking margarito bout? of course.... but it should still be eather Bradley or Williams that Pac fights.

From team pacs point of view, when he wins once again, people will just say well pac was in his prime and JMM had slipped a lot already so he should win..... not only that, but JMM is also coming off not winning a minute against Mayweather, so even if Pac struggles just a bit with a faded JMM, it makes him look bad in that aspect.

In a lot of ways, its a lose lose situation.... If he completely destroys Marquez, he wont get as much credit as he should, and if he struggles with him people will say damn a past it marquez even gave prime pac problems.

The boxing fan in me wants to see this fight, not just because of the fighters involved clashing, but also because JMM has earned this fight (beating casa, diaz x2) but i can see while on one hand it would be a great way to close out their rivalry, i can still see why team pac would be wary of this fight.

Marquez is almost 37 as pointed out and hasn't been in the ring for a good 8 months or so. Coming back down in weight and a little ring rust can make you look a bit shaky.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Pac-JMM 3. I have them 1-1. JMM didn't do enough to come back from that 3 knockdown round to win or draw the first fight in my opinion. Damn judging error.
Pac didn't do enough to win clearly in their second fight. My gut leans towards Marquez being the winner in that fight.
The issue with the third fight though is even if Pac beats Marquez, people will scream and cry about how he should have fought him years ago(nevermind the fact that they only fought 2 years ago) and he would have beat him then. Pac went where the money is. Can't blame him. Made sense as a business choice and as a legacy enhancer. If they fight at 140, I firmly believe Pac will be too much and will finally score a stoppage win. Marquez will have all the heart in the world but Pac has become a better fighter.

Obviously, the biggest obstacle is the Top Rank/ GBP 2nd Cold War that's going on. So I wouldn't hold my breath.
