Why is JMM/Pacquiao Okay at 140 but not JMM/Khan?

Firstly I'd like to say well done to Marquez for his excellent win :happy.

Okay, I don't get it. You people are happy about JMM fighting Pacquiao at 140 but not Khan.

Pacquiao would be coming down from what? 150 pounds if he fights Marga****er? And from what I've seen of Marquez last night, he'd get ripped to shreds (no disrespect).

Seriously, if anyone even thinks Marquez has a remote chance against Pacquiao in that fight is just stupid.

Khan Vs JMM is a lot more justifiable. JMM stated HIMSELF that he wants to go up and win a title in a fourth weight division.

Khan would be the ONLY one he'd have a chance against. Khans defence is still not up to great standard and will really test Khan and prove his chin is at least plastic by your standards. No way would Khan blow over JMM.

I get your points on Khan fighting people his weight but fighting with Pacquiao is hardly justifiable either now.

So which one would YOU see?

I'd rather see JMM vs Khan. Its a winnable fight for both and both fighters have something to gain.

Pac vs JMM is too obvious and nothing to gain for Pac.

Pacquiao is a smaller fighter than Khan and weighs less on fight night, for a start. The other obvious reason is the history between the two. There's a great trilogy that can be finished and that's what we want to see. A Khan fight is pretty boring, I think.

All that said, I think Marquez may knock Khan out. I see Pacquiao steamrolling Marquez.

    1. Its another small none punching fighter for Khan (although more power than most)
    2. Jmm-Pacquaio have unfinished business
    3. JMM has the style to give Pacquaio fits, and deserves a big fight
    4. Khan hasn't earnt a top name like Marquez and wouldn't get much credit for the win, much like Mayweather didn't
    5. Pacquaio is probably smaller than Khan

Its not a terrible fight but the pack is heavily stacked in Khan's favour. Fight a 50-50 fight against the top 140lbers Amir

Either of these dudes whoops marquez as much as i like him. i guess ppl are ok with pac cause its pac. it signals a great payday for marquez, redemption and legacy and some fools here who dont understand boxing think he actually stands a chance. i personally dont want marquez to waste pacs time before he retires and would rather the khan fight. khan would school him and it'd propel his name. i actuallly think theres nothing left for marquez to do. think he gets beat if he challenges himself again.

Because JMM and Pacquiao have history against each other and people feel Marquez can pose problems for Pacquiao out but I'm unsure about that as of currently. Khan can look elsewhere and hope to face Bradley or Alexander early next year if the Bradley/Alexander fight doesn't finalize. If JMM wants to fight Khan then so be it I wouldn't take anything away from Khan but JMM needs to make his choice fast because his career isn't far from over.

I rather see JMM vs KHAN. Good money in it. Good promotion, both great boxers.
If JMM doesnt take Katsinis or Khan he should retire and stop boxing Diaz's of this world.

JMM hasnt done anything to deserve another shot at PAC? And we all know how that will end. KHAN vs JMM will be much more competative.

Pose problems? From what I saw last night, NOTHING would pose a problem. JMM Isn't the precision counterpuncher he used to be. His timing is also going off now.

    Pacquiao would decimate him.

actually Pac came out ahead in those fights and that was against a prime Marquez. What good is winning a 3rd one against an old past prime JMM fighting well above his best weight?

Pacquiao avenged his 2 point loss to Morales with back to back knockouts a year later and gets little credit from his numerous haters and detractors. It would be even worse with Marquez.
