both of those guys would have owned khan, khans on borrowed time he'll be found out again soon enough
That's the point I used to make. :good I think the real reason Warren kept Khan at 135 was he wanted Khan to KO fighters knowing Khan is a big 135 and would have the size advantage, even then he was not happy so he tried to beef Khan up with weight training, which I feel messed Khan up even more, his body fat went too low. I think moving upto 140 was his best move, it's his natural weight, even so the 135 under Alex was tight but workable because of the reshaping of Khan's body weight. So in that fact yes he could of stayed at 135 and had success but I feel Khan is ready for anyone at 140 right now. GBP and HBO messed up with Khan in the fact he really should had at least 3 fights this year. Khan promotions has a 3 fight deal with GBP right now and I think they were always going to use the first 2 fights to build Khan up vs known names/less risks fights to setup a (I hope) a 3rd fight vs a top 140 fighter. HBO dates should of been discussed with Khan's camp for the year first, because normally a Muslim fighter wont/should not fight/train during/and around Ramadan. So with this mess up Khan will only fight twice this year. I am hoping JMM does not op for Khan at the end of the year, as Khan should really fight Maidana. And if Khan dont fight Maidana, Alexander, or Bradley after JMM then I wont defend him, its clear protecting/or being protected.
The stick Khan gets is riddiculous. The big fights will come and I fully expect him to do well in them. I think the weight was an issue. I know that they worked to get some more weight of the top and into his legs (supposedly helping the whole chin thing). He looks healthier at 140 and the weight is a natural progression for someone of his age.
kons natural weight catagory is at welter really if you look at his height or reach, he matchs with most welters
but at two fights a year and retire when hes 28, that means he as 8 fights left at best marquez being one of them then another 7 cherry picked opponents hardly well marquez 50 odd fights alverz 30 odd fights, kon is a joke end of ,
Maidana aint got much more to his game than what his record suggests. Khan wins the fight all day. Against anyone like Maidana, and with the gameplan Roach would plan out, Khan wins on points mega comfortably. He'll frustrate the **** outta Maidana. Speed kills. I'm not Khan's biggest fan. His mouth needs shut a little bit these days. The JMM that I saw on Sat night even at 140 beats Khan. Far, far too clever and too tough for Amir. In the 140lb picture Khan beats Ortiz and Maidana. Bradley beats him. If JMM steps up he beats him. Alexander... I'm on the fence. But back to the original point. Khan was always gonna move up to 140 I don't think it was short sighted I think it was clever business from Warren and he delayed the inevitable and time it brilliantly.
Roach and that have changed him man .He's got a good team I don't think it'll be short sighted .Making 140 he can eat his breakfast and that and for Pacquiao to stay at WW he gets fed 5 times a day .It's just his camp and team man .I still think he would beat most the guys at 140 but just a bit risky just now .I think he will when he's ready .You seen Pacquiao routine ?If Khan's is anything like this I don't think so .I read they took weight off his upperbody and put it on his legs and the leg condition he does the only 2 boxers to keep up is Khan and Chico Corrales .Check Pacquiao's routine probably twice as hard as most top pros This content is protected
