You can say he looked slow, you can say he is on the decline. But JMM deserves to fight Pacquiao. A) Because they have had 2 razor close fights which many can't decide who came out the real "winner", B) The guy keeps winning, defending his lightweight belts for the 1st time last night, C) Because the guy JMM last lost to is unwilling to do what JMM wants most.

If he loses then fine, he got his fight, he got the payday which he deserves considering Pacquiao wasn't even marginally as popular when JMM fought him. I will argue that the fights with JMM catapulted Pacquiao to the status where a fight with DLH (which really put Manny on the map) was even sellable. Personally I find Pacquiao vs JMM III being the most exciting fight in boxing, I liked the sport before Mayweather and I like it without him too.

Lastly, if Pacquiao is so head and shoulders above Marquez, take the easy payday and knock him the hell out in the first round and prove the other 2 bouts were different stories.

no way man. I think JMM beat Pacman twice already, but he's not the same fighter he was back then and Pacman still is, probably even better. Just like JMM got outclassed vs. Floyd, he would get stopped the 3rd time around. 2-3 more fights against the top LW's and LWW's and he should hang them up.

    *facepalm*

This is a repeat of Pac-Morales 3 again. JMM is done at the very elite level. everyone needs to Move On its not 2004 anymore. He still has enough to clean out the 135 division and cont. to make a mark to be considered one of the true GOAT cuz right now his resume doesn't match his skill level. Thats what he needs to do.

It's OK to fight JMM for Pacquiao but when Mayweather fighs him it's the death of boxing.

and when Khan says he might fight JMM at 140, its even worse than Mayweather fighting him at 147

You know what, he might get knockout, he might get beat into retirement, but he IS THE LAST FIGHTER who has even remotely been competitive with Pacquiao, I don't care how much he has "declined", whether its '04, '08, or 10, the guy has a shot @ 140 or if Pacquiao would DARE come down to 135...Beyond that what would you rather see a JMM rematch or Cotto rematch, thread that damn question!!!

We read this plenty of times before the rematch but it didn't happen.

Maybe JMM just has Pac's number!

It doesn't matter if JMM gets KO'ed by Pac. What matters is JMM gets what he deserves which is an opportunity. Stop treating JMM like a senior citizen. He's not that old. He's been challenging the best and gives 100% in every fight. We should be grateful for that. Let him have his huge payday against Pac. Besides, I'd rather see an old(er) JMM against Pac than any of the damaged/C level welters from Top Rank. At least JMM can say he has the style to trouble Pacquiao.

Jmm needs to go out there and earn it!
Ko his stable mate, khan and he will have his shot!
He ain't going to get it by fighting Diazes of this world.

I'm convinced on the evidence of last night that if this supposed rematch was too ever materialize, Marquez will fall victim to a horrible knockout defeat.
